John Glennon takes a look at college players with Tennessee connections who are preparing for the 2012 Draft. Of the players mentioned in this article it's Casey Hayward who interests me the most (Vanderbilt pedigree aside). He's slated by a lot of people to go in the middle of the draft, but the kid is a consistent playmaker who started for 3 full years at CB, got better every season and ended-up a Walter Camp All-American this season. He's got decent height and speed, and a good nose for the ball. Who doesn't need a CB like that... especially a team that passed on D.J. Moore for Ryan Mouton, and looks poised (by some accounts) to let Cortland Finnegan walk.

Brett Maxie picked the Titans over the Cowboys largely because he wanted to be the team's lone DB coach again, after splitting the group with Dave Campo for the past few years.

The Titans picked Brett Maxie because of his character, reports John Glennon.

In case you missed it, this past Sunday Jeff Fisher came across a bad car wreck in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood, and stopped to help the injured parties until help arrived.

Firing Jim Caldwell was the only real option for the Colts, says Don Banks.

It's not really news that the Colts reached out to Jeff Fisher, but I am curious as to why Fisher would say he has no interest in that spot. Is it out of respect for Bud Adams and/or Bill Polian (who Fisher was on the NFL's Competition Committee with)? It's not a burning question for me, but a passing curiosity for sure.

Speaking of the legacy of Jeff Fisher.... if it's the offseason, then you can probably find Pacman Jones in a courtroom somewhere.

I kinda forgot about DJ Moore.

Will be interesting to see if Mouton’s time off helped him in any way, or if he’s just as crappy as he was pre-injury.

Basically,

Reinfeldt is taking Underwood’s old place. Dealing w/ all football and non-football stuff is all him now. “Bud’s eyes and ears” is how Kuharsky put it. Hutton just said that there would be an official announcement later today and a press conference later
