Indianapolis Colts Fire Jim Caldwell

Stay connected for news and updates

The Indianapolis Colts have finally made the decision that they should have made months ago. They have relieved Jim Caldwell of his head coaching duties. It was pretty clear that Caldwell was in over his head when Peyton Manning was the quarterback. There isn't even a term to describe what he was this past season.

It makes me pretty sad that the Colts did not decide to keep Caldwell. He was a terrible coach, and it was going to be a good thing for the Titans if he stayed as the head coach.

It will be interesting to see where they go from here. They are obviously going to take Andrew Luck with the first pick in this year's draft, so much like the Jaguars, you would think that the Colts would look to bring in a young, bright offensive mind to pair with Luck.

The turnover in coaches in the AFC South is pretty crazy. Mike Munchak, entering his second year as a head coach, is now the second longest tenured head coach in the division. It is going to be really interesting to see how it all plays out.
