2012 NFL Mock Draft: The Titans and Nick Perry
Andrew Perloff of SI.com has a mock draft up, and he has the Titans taking Nick Perry, DE, USC. Perloff's mock is particularly interesting because he makes trades. Here is what he had to say about the Perry pick:
The Titans ranked 31st in the NFL with just 28 sacks last season. Perry had 9.5 sacks as a junior and could move up in the draft process as teams study his work at USC.
I have already looked at about 50 mock drafts, and this is the highest I have seen Perry going. He did have a nice season last year with 9.5 sacks, and the Titans will need a defensive end, so the pick makes sense.
The big trade from that mock is the Browns moving up from #4 to #2 to select Robert Griffin III. At this point there is no doubt in my mind that a team is going to move up to get RG3 because the Rams and Vikings are not going to take him.

Don't count out the Rams
They could potentially go after RGIII, or entertain a trade down…

The Saint of MCM
that would be stupid they just got bradford
and i think his problems are more of the entire team not playing well than him not playing well
My opinion of Perry is changing.
I’m starting to see Jerry Gray key words in his description. We desperately need a pass rusher, and then when I see things like “versatile” in his descriptions, it reminds me of the Ayers pick. You can play him hand in the ground or standing up, I don’t really care as long as he’s getting to the QB. Plus Gray wants the ability to throw more formations out there, Nick Perry gives us that opportunity.

I would look at Melvin Ingram more
He’s bigger than Perry (275lbs) but very athletic…plus, the Gamecocks defense put Ingram in several positions over the last couple of years, rushing from the end and tackle spot, dropping in coverage, and even being a spy against Auburn’s offense.

The thing with Ingram vs Perry is that Perry will line up on the line.
I prefer being able to use Perry as an end in the four man front, and moving him to a rush linebacker when we use three man fronts. From the (limited) tape I’ve seen from Ingram, he can only be used as a LB.

how much of it is coaching, talent, or South Carolina's stud DE Clowney changing schemes I don't know
so my opinion is mixed on Ingram

Wes Bunting
Stated on twitter today that he thinks perry is the best 34 rusher in the draft.
USC > UT (Both of them)
Just wondering..
Who is the best S coming out? And where are they projected? The only guy I know of is Barron, where is he projected?
Locker has a receiver either side;
Locker fumbles the snap;
Picks it up, sprints out to the right;
Looking;
Fires deep downfield
MAN IS WIDE OPEN!!
TOUCHDOWWWWWN TITANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barron is anywhere from 1st to 2nd rounder and he's the best available right now
His partner in the secondary, Robert Lester (2nd round) is staying in school along with UGA’s Baccari Rambo (2nd). The rest of the class is middle round level talent although I’m intrigued by Okie State’s Markelle Martin. I’d just suck it up next year with Griffin + Babs, and wait for Rambo next year because having a guy named Rambo back there would be badass
