Jacksonville Jaguars Name Mike Mularkey Head Coach
The Jacksonville Jaguars have named Mike Mularkey their head coach according to multiple reports tonight. Mularkey will do his best to develop Blaine Gabbert into a real-life NFL quarterback. Good luck with that, Mike. Most people seem to think that Mularkey will keep Mel Tucker on as his defensive coordinator.
This is Mularkey's second stint as a head coach. He was the head coach in Buffalo in 2004 and 2005. The Bills were 9-7 in his first season, and 5-11 in his second season. He re-signed after the 2005 season because he could not get along with Marv Levy.
It will be interesting to see who he hires as his offensive coordinator, but there is no doubt that both guys will only be as successful as Blaine Gabbert is. Again, good luck with that.
Don't be surprised to see the Jaguars take Alshon Jeffery with their first pick in April's draft. Mularkey should at least be smart enough to know that Gabbert needs someone to throw too.

As far as coaching hires go,
This one is a pretty bland…were guna hire him because he is a somewhat popular candidate. He will be fired in three years hire.
Jags may be moving
So a short term coach with some potential might be part of the plan.
Jags are going to LA
Then theyll hire phil jackson to coach where hell will bring the triangle offense to the nfl and become the person to win multiple championships in different sports.

I was pretty happy to see them go with him over Chud.
This was a strange higher to me. The really stayed with another coach that likes to pound the ball.
On another not, every time I go read posts over there they are saying that Gabbert is more talented than Matt Ryan. I dont even see a comparison.
Ryan had that it factor in college. When he threw that pass across the backside of the field to beat VT,
He wrote his on ticket. Sunshine had no such moments.
Ryan>Gabbert

Not to be that guy, but re-signed =/= resigned
Just ’cause once we get into free agency/rookie signings, the less confusion the better.

Stale pun alert!
This hiring shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Certainly not me, anyways.
