2012 NFL Draft Order: Tennessee Titans Pick 20th

The draft order for non-playoff teams is pretty much set with the exception of one coin flip and the result of tonight's game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. The Titans will be picking 20th, which is the lowest pick for a team that did not make the playoffs. So that is awesome.

Obviously we will have a lot of time between now and then to look at the pick. The 2012 NFL Draft order for all non-playoff teams is listed after the jump.

Star-divide

1. Indianapolis Colts, 2-14

2. St. Louis Rams, 2-14

3. Minnesota Vikings, 3-13

4. Cleveland Browns, 4-12

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 4-12

6. Washington Redskins, 5-11

7. Jacksonville Jaguars, 5-11

8. Carolina Panthers, 6-10

9. Miami Dolphins, 6-10

10. Buffalo Bills, 6-10

11. Seattle Seahawks, 7-9*

12. Kansas City Chiefs, 7-9*

13. Philadelphia Eagles, 8-8

14. New York Jets, 8-8

15. Arizona Cardinals, 8-8

16. San Diego Chargers, 8-8

17. Cincinnati Bengals (from Oakland Raiders, 8-8)

18. Chicago Bears, 8-8

19. Dallas Cowboys/New York Giants loser, 8-8

20. Tennessee Titans, 9-7

’05- 6th
’06- 3rd
’07- 19th
’08- 24th
’09- 30th
’10- 16th
’11- 8th
and now for ’12- 20th
feels pretty good to be around the middle of the Draft where teams could want to trade up to, and gives us a chance to trade back.

Speaking of Casey...he had a really good game today.

Give him a full offseason and he could be dominate.

I thought Casey and Marks (minus a few plays) had a strong game. And with Klug coming in on rotation, I love our DTs.

And with Jones back at DT, it would be a very good group.

Someone had mentioned they saw something about him being unlikely to return, don't know where it was from.

Will be interesting if they look to convert him back, or cut ties with him.

Outside of rookie DT Karl Klug, the Titans have not had a consistent threat to rush the passer this season. DLE Derrick Morgan has begun to flash, but DRE Jason Jones, a converted tackle, has been a disappointment, we hear. “The move flat-out hasn’t worked,” said a daily team observer. A free agent after the season, Jones is unlikely to receive more than a one-year offer from the Titans.

we would've been 20th anyway if we lost today

we hold the last tiebreakers in SOS or something among the .500 teams, had we lost.

Michael Floyd from NotreDame

Britt is no sure thing to be back to form next yr. & if he is, what a duo!
Both lines & safety need addressed as well.
Resign Finnegan & Babs!

Before I do anything I ask myself "Would an idiot do that?" And if the answer is yes, I do not do that thing.

The team needs OG, C, S, WR, and DE so…

… I say take the best guy available at one of those positions with that 1st pick.

If the highest rated guy at #20 is a safety then take him. If it’s a guard, take the guard. Or whatever.

Fix as much as possible in the draft and use free agency to fix the rest…

trade up

said it once, say it again. need someone top-flight, and we need to let some players go (and perhaps some picks, a la Atlanta last year) if we really want a player that can change the composition of this team

i really see no reason they wouldnt take a

Pass rushing DE. That’s what we need most. Then, safety, then C and LG

At 20, we might have Konz fall to us.

I would be entirely okay with taking him.

by FYNBYAC on Jan 2, 2012 1:29 AM CST reply actions

There are a ton of top-flight interior lineman FA’s (Nicks, Myers, Wells, Grubbs). One must be signed. If Decastro falls he should be drafted too.

by ShawnG on Jan 2, 2012 1:27 PM CST reply actions

It would be sooo sick to pick up both Myers and draft Decastro

so… Roos|Decastro|Myers|Scott|Stewart. I see us ending up with Wells and not Myers though

by Mikeyy on Jan 2, 2012 1:47 PM CST up reply actions

Wells and Myers are both elite.
