Do we really have a shot?

First thing first this post is based on optimism. Judging from what we have seen from the team so far i have to say I'm actually really impressed with the way they have played. i know its the preseason but taking from what we have learned here do you think that really have a shot at the division

Star-divide

AFC South is in a state of turmoil. Everyone counts the Titans out but do the Texans Colts or Jaguarshave that much more talent than us if any at all. According to the Preseason the Colts aren't looking too hot. And with Kerry Collinslooking like their day one starter it makes playing them even more attractive. The Jaguars SMH. Whats going on with them. They draft Sunshine in the first round and so far he has been far less than impressive. Defense is questionable at best and they let Ryan Mallet look good against their secondary. The Texans is a team that has been on the brink of playoffs for some years now and this might be the year they make it, just like last year and the year before oh and the year before that. i wish they would just pick a side already playoff team or losing team. Yes the Titans are in a rebuilding stage but i really think that people underestimate just how far we are. We are one season away from a 5-2 start with an incompetent Quarterback and a DC who really didn't know what he was doing. And we did that without having all of our best players on the field getting the playing time that they deserved. (**cough Jared Cook, Damian Williams, **cough). And having players that clearly didn't deserve playing time get sent out their time and time again. We also have this rookie class from which I'm expecting great things.

the have impressed many so far and each one looks to make an impact on this team early in their careers. With Tommie Cambells blazing speed and physical presence and Klug's non-stop motor, Akeem Ayersplay making ability, with Jurell Casey's size and with Colin McCarthysolidness all around on defese we look pretty good. Then on offense we have Jamie Harper to spell CJ2K on the goal line carries and of course there's Jake Locker who gives me hope again in the number 10. So do we really have a shot at the Division. if everything goes well then yes. I could actually see us going 10-6.

We are alot better than we are on paper

Plus our division seems to be on it’s tail end of greatness on all fronts, the Colts spent too much time relying on Peyton it has them completely dependent on him, the sparkly Kitties, well are the sparkly Kitties, and the Texans aren’t getting any younger, but look for them to be our bitter rivals in the future, they so far have been the most competent and have the better core group out of the other three

If our defense plays better than they did in the preseason, we'll be fine

If things go right, sure we can…

… but the other teams won’t just roll over for us.

The Titans need to play very well and catch several good breaks.

But this team looks to me like it’ll be a contender again in a couple more years…

I think we do have a good chance

Texans are the texans- while they have gotten better on D, I think the 3-4 transition may take a couple games to get going and I think that Foster doesn’t repeat, if he even plays at all with that jacked up hammy.

Colts are old- Peyton is easily still good enough to carry the offense. But is he durable enough to last a whole season? And do the rookie o-linemen keep him on his feet? And does his made-of-glass offensive players last the whole season? On D, they’re doing nothing but getting older and older as well. I think they’re good at safety, but too inexperienced at corner and too old and fragile at the front seven.

Sparkly Kitties- Where to begin.. No offensive playmakers behind MoJo JoJo, and he can’t stay healthy for a whole season. Garrard can still play I think, but who is he throwing to? Lewis? Using a TE as your ONLY pass catcher only works against the 2010 Titans, and I’m pretty sure we are going to be very different on D this year. On D, they improved their front seven, but their secondary is still very suspect I think..

Titans in transition- Like the Texans’ D, it may take a few weeks for our new system to gel and get rolling, but IMO, all of the changes were a major addition by subtraction because I think our QBs, Coaches, and System were absolutely terrible last year. O-line play, WR depth, and Defensive execution/discipline are going to be our big question marks. If we can escape major injuries and gel as a team, I think we can make a good run and do a whole lot better than anyone is giving us credit for.

Music City Miracles Hall Of Fame, Class of 2010

One of these days....WHEN I have more time, WHEN I get that promotion, WHEN my ship comes in. Listen, TODAY is the day WHEN you start to put your goals into action. TODAY is the day WHEN you stop putting things off and decide that the only way the future IS going to be better is if I make TODAY WHENsday!!
