Report: Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt Out for Season
The NFL Network is reporting that the Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt will have season ending knee surgery. I would have been shocked if it was anything else. You could tell by the way that he just threw the ball down that it wasn't good.
The good news is the team was still able to move the ball in the second half with Britt out of the game, but there is no doubt that this is a huge blow to the offense. It is going to be up to guys like Nate Washington, Damian Williams and Lavelle Hawkins to step up in Britt's absence. That makes me really nervous.
It also time for Chris Johnson to produce. They didn't give him $30 million guaranteed to tie with the punter for the game lead in rushing yards or to have 98 yards total through three games.
We are also going to need to see more out of Jared Cook. He was huge in the preseason but has been pretty much invisible through the first three games.
This is only a report, however. AP's Teresa Walker tweeted just minutes ago that further tests are needed to determine the extent of the injury.

He was in serious pain. The first thing he thought was to get rid of the ball.
I don’t blame him.

So, incase anyone is wondering
Here is a list of 2011 free agent receivers and where they signed, and shows a few that are still unsigned if I read it right. Not really any good names on there, but could be a depth guy or two there.
Next resort, Justin Gage anyone?

Yes
but at the same time, today our ToP and Turnovers were even and yet if you take away those 11 penalties we would have blown Denver out. Too many offensive drives have been halted prematurely and too many defensive drives have been extended; all due to penalties.
Our ToP problems this year have been DIRECTLY related to our penalty problems. We run for a first down, oh, no, wait, holding on Harris/Amano, ok well punt it away. We get a big third down stop, oh, no, wait, encroachment, automatic first down.
Those two phrases are being uttered way to much this year so far.

But Miami and KC looked like they had a pulse today (though Indy does too at the moment). Seattle’s bad, but that stupid division is going to give them wins. Arizona just gifted them one today. I don’t know about Minny- I think Ponder is going to give them some life at the end.

Still think KC falls apart as the season goes along.
And Miami showing signs of life one game doesn’t mean much, the way Buffalo has played there are now three teams in that division that should be able to handle them pretty easily. I still say Indy gets enough wins to not get the first pick overall.

Moss?
Really, though, the team should start looking at possibilities from outside of the franchise. Lloyd? Harvin?
I was a pessimist until Fisher finally got Munched!
Finally, a new direction and hope for the future!

I’m depressed…
.
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...

The titans were mad about that too
“Why you go after our Receiver’s knees??”
and Matty Iceberg was too
Hope it’s not true about Britt. Titans might go after WR in FA. T. Owens? TJ Houshmandzadeh?

Umm...the trade deadline hasn't ended yet...
And now that we have a QB, why don’t we just trade for a premiere WR? I mean, I figure that’s what we’re going to draft next year anyways at this point in the 1st or 2nd round. There’s gotta be a disgruntled, somewhat decent WR on a team somewhere. Meanwhile, I know the Titans aren’t an overaggressive team, but there’s a chance to win the AFC South here. The only team in the way is the Texans, and I think we’ve got a shot to beat them, though we won’t be the favorites. CJ will turn up sooner or later, but we need someone to replace Britt, and Hawkins and Williams aren’t going to be the guys….are they?

In order to trade for a premiere WR some other team has to want to deal a premiere WR...
not happening. Britt isn’t going to be replaced, they are going to adjust.

it would require giving up a boatload of players and/or draft picks. that’s not something I want Reinfeldt going for. no offense to Hasselbeck, but I’d much rather have 10+ wins in the playoffs with Locker over the years than 1 blaze of glory with him.

So
I feel like The Titans took the last girl in the bar home today
They got what they wanted, but it was ugly, not what they expected, and they are not going to like what the doctor finds tomorrow.

Wow
What a way to put it. Absolutely correct.
Locker has a receiver either side;
Locker fumbles the snap;
Picks it up, sprints out to the right;
Looking;
Fires deep downfield
MAN IS WIDE OPEN!!
TOUCHDOWWWWWN TITANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VY (to all his haters/doubters): "I love ya'll too!!"
"Titans & Texans fan, dont bug me w/your petty b.s., life's confusing enough."
This sucks....
