Disappointed in Finny... and Us.
I've been following this Cortland Finnegan fiasco as close as I possibly could. Digging for what ever information I could find, shaking my head in disbelief.
I for one am a huge Finny fan. This was one of my personal "say it ain't so" moments. I refused to believe that a man who has been so active in his community, so intensely dedicated to his team mates on the field, and so defiant as an underdog figure would simply walk out on his team like that and refuse to come back. It just didn't sound like Cortland Finnegan. Although he has a history of loosing his cool on the field, he always came off as much smarter than that off it.
So it seems that the whole thing was a huge misunderstanding. Finnegan apparently had reason enough to personally justify leaving camp. He said he'll be back on Monday and was in contact with the team. It was irresponsible of Finny to not inform his boss of his intentions or where-abouts. It's disappointing that he left us all in the dark in a time when the Team needs his leadership most. It's unnerving to see how the media can turn us so quickly.
I'm a little disappointed to see the posts calling for us to "Trade his ass!" and "Cut him!" while we still didn't know the whole story. Finny is such a lighting rod for Titans fans I understand the sense of betrayal after all the defending we've done on his part. I know I've taken my fair share of ridicule defending Cortland among friends and I still say he's a top 10 corner in this league. It genuinely saddened me to see all of the hatred going out to the guy when we still had no real idea of what was going on. He belongs here. He represents the underdog and the fighter, the little guy who won't back down but will come out and punch back, the heart of what our team is.
Come on MCM... Is This Really Us?

You have to suspend your common sense
to believe what he said today. He made himself a liar in his own statement by saying that Titans officials knew. Come on.
Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.
why should we worry about him and his contract
I get that we want the best team on the field as possible, but the GM can only make those decisions we scream for, and the only people who really know are cort, his agent, Reinfeld and God… and they are the only ones who need to know…. sooooo… GET BACK TO THE DAMNED FOOTBALL!!!
Collins gave us the best chance to win ma ballz

The fan reaction is due to frustration already present with the CJ lockout
As well as every expert and their mother having the titans having a top 5 pick next year in the 2012 draft
Oh hai MCM
