Former Tennessee Titans LB David Thornton Retires
Former #Titans LB David Thornton announced his #NFL retirement this morning.
David Thornton has announced his retirement this morning. He has battled injuries for the last couple of years, but was a really good player for this team before he got hurt. The Titans were really good at LB when they were running Thornton out there on one side and Keith Bulluck on the other.
Thornton said this in a statement:
"My love & passion for the game will never waver, but I am confident that this is the right decision for me at this time."
He was part of the last big name free agent class the Titans brought in under GM Floyd Reese. That group also included David Givens, Chris Hope and Kevin Mawae.

He was a highly underrated LB...
I guess that’s what being beside Bulluck does to you.
Just ask Peter Sirmon.
