Mike Munchak talked this week about how he wanted to see what his team would do when faced with adversity. Well Michael Griffin was nice enough to help Munch out with a blown coverage on the first play of the game. Here is what Muchak had to say about that after the game:

"We said we wanted to start with a challenge in the beginning and we got one. A big play by them to get the lead and get the points. I think we did a nice job after that, defense did a great job. They settled down and adjusted after the blown coverage on the first play and pretty much shut them down the rest of the half; pretty much the rest of the game until the end. I thought the first group did a heck of a job defensively.

This is the NFL. No matter how good your defense is, it is going to give up a big play from time to time. The most important thing is how they react, and this team came back and shut the Rams first team down for the rest of the night.
