Here's their current WR's:
They have 8 quality receivers. No superstars, but 8 guys that show some ability. Sims-Walker, Salas, Pettis, Gilyard, Gibson, Avery, Amendola, and Alexander. Those guys should be on an NFL roster. The problem for the Rams is that they will likely only keep 6. That means 2 of the above will likely get cut.
Word on the street is Gilyard will go. He was a thought of as a steal in the 4th round a year ago. The other cut is tougher to decide. Salas and Pettis won't get cut, as they were relatively high draft picks on them this year. Sims-Walker likely will not get cut, as he is their big free agent signing. That leaves Alexander, Gibson (who just lit us up for an 83 yard bomb), Amendola, or Avery. Amendola isn't getting cut, he is too valuable in the slot. Avery was their best Wr last year before he hurt himself. I think it will be Alexander.
So in a few weeks we could have Alexander or Gilyard to choose from. I'd rather have Gilyard as he can play special teams. The point being, is I would rather have Gilyard than Gage, and probably Hawkins.
