Titans vs. Rams: Titans Position Battle To Watch
When it comes to guys fighting for starting spots, there really aren't but a couple of battles in this camp. The guys on the defensive line are battling to be starters, but those guys rotate in and out so much that it really doesn't matter as much who starts and who comes off the bench.
Will Witherspoon and Gerald McRath are in a battle for the starting spot, and McRath is going to have a good chance to show what he can do tonight because Witherspoon will be starting in the middle with the injury to Barrett Ruud. McRath looks to have a spot on the field in the nickel defense, but a good performance tonight could get him closer to beating out Spoon.
The other battle to watch is at corner. Jason McCourty edged out Alterraun Verner out of camp last year, but ATV held on to the spot after McCourty went down with an injury. Mike Munchak has said that McCourty will start again tonight so Verner needs to make some plays. We know that isn't a problem for him, but truth be told, this battle doesn't matter as much anyway because they will both be on the field a lot in nickel.

I think JMac is a more complete corner and more physical
While ATV is a playmaker and ball hawk. I think JMac will win it but ATV will see a lot of the field in the Nickel. I love them both though

I agree as well. Well said.
ATV is a better playmaker. but JMac is a better cover corner….JMac doesnt get burned very often…unfortunately just like all playmakers..you have to gamble (ala Asante Samuel the other night) playmakers try to to guess and get burned.
