Last season Damian Williams, believe it or not, appeared in all 16 games and ended the season with 16 catches. You always hear that guys make huge strides from year one to year two, and that is exactly why I expect D-Will to do. It sure would be nice to see him play well enough in the preseason to help the coaching staff decide they don't need Justin Gage.
Williams has been impressive so far in training camp, and was 1 for 2 in chances in the game against the Vikings.
Setting the over/under on a guy like Williams is really tough because I really don't have any idea at this point how much playing time he is going to get. I don't think it is a stretch to say that he will double his catches in 2011. I think the ceiling is really high for Williams, but I will temper my expectations for the purpose of this exercise. The over/under is 34.5.
