I could live with 5 years, 55 million, 31 guaranteed.
Though I would fight like mad to maybe only get 28 guaranteed.

I like how when we all originally were talking about this we all agreed in the area of 25 mil guaranteed...
now we are ‘ok’ with 31 mil. Next week it’s going to be not a cent over 62 mil guaranteed.
The Saint of MCM
A deal will come when both sides aren't completely happy with the contract offer.
I am all for playing hardball and telling CJ we’re not giving him over 25 million guaranteed, but I also realize that Reinfeldt will have to cave a bit to get a deal done. Now, if CJ wants 30 million and we refuse, then we can compromise on 28. But for some reason I feel like CJ’s camp is asking for 35 million (that’s just how I feel) so 31 is okay with me. It doesn’t thrill me, but it also isn’t the worst option.

Right, I know. Both sides are going to have to give a little for this to get done.
I was just commenting on how much we all thought we couldn’t bend on changes as this thing carries on.
The Saint of MCM
they need to hug it out first
Then talk money… maybe play xbox, eat some pizza together, you know hang out… then they can come together as friends on a deal…(hey it works better than letting the guy sit in Orlando)

why are these derps shooting out these numbers anyways...
If I don’t hear, “Chris Johnson is in a plane to Nashville” idc about what we SHOULD be paying him… hell I barely care what we ARE paying him… JUST BRING HIS ASS TO CAMP…. MIKE SHOULD BE KNOCKING ON HIS DOOR WITH A NEW BUGATTI IF HE WANTS HIM AT CAMP WITHOUT A NEW CONTRACT (that probably isn’t within the rules… but oh wellz, so frustrated with both sides)

But, give me $30 million and I’m buying dumb shit EVERYDAY, and he earned it legitimately, honorable in my eyes

crossing my fingers
because that would actually be a badass way to blow a lot of money…. old muscle cars and what not. But I really don’t want to watch him give West Coast Customs 10 million dollars to put a bunch of flat screens and neon lights inside a fleet of Dodge Caravans.

It's too early in the preseason to talk about kickers
I love Rob and all, but I just don’t want to worry about FGs and PATs if I can help it.
And since (barring injury) high % kickers don’t just suddenly drop off a cliff in the middle of their careers, I want to believe that this’ll all blow over and he’ll regress to the mean come regular season.

Yeah, I'm just used to Bironas being our offense
Unofficial MCM QB Rating Hater

Maybe his misses
are his way of objecting to all of the recent changes.
What if, subconsciously, he yearns for the days of Titans offenses that can’t score touchdowns so that he’s the featured scoring threat on the team.
Perhaps, he needs a shrink more than he needs additional practice. Or, someone could just hypnotize him to believe that PATs are 47 yard field goals with 6 seconds left in a tie game.

Munch when asked about CJ getting top playmaker money vs top RB money:
I was a guard in the NFL and unfortunately I’d like to get the money the tackles got, but that’s not how it works. I mean, I thought I was a pretty good offensive lineman, but I stayed in that guard, uh, you know…with what the guards are being paid or the centers are being paid.
so he pretty much wants to tell CJ...

Should we go ahead and cut Bironas before he goes all 'Al Del Greco' on us?
I would be sick to my stomach if we ended up with 3-4 extra losses this year because Bironas missed some 35 yard field goals. If we’re going to suck it up I sure as hell want it to be because the defense still sucks and not because our stud kicker lost his confidence.

That's good for CJ too.
I honestly think he’d be better in a two-back system like 2008. Yes, he crossed 2,000 being “The Guy”, but I just think he’d be more effective if he were spelled more. It’d also cause defenses to lose time gameplanning for him having to think about how to defend a different style back…and a freak at TE…and a bona-fide #1 WR.

He’s definitely a guy that needs to work, and I don’t think throwing him out there initially is a good move.

highly likely that it's nothing, but i wanna know what Brad Hopkins meant when he tweeted this this:
“Titans should tread lightly with the trade talks. 28 behind Peyton in formation could be rather scary!!”

k now he's saying this..i was actually scared for a second:
“Titans aren’t talking trade, talking heads are. Not beyond the realm of possibility this team could be good without him. Just sayin…”
