All I Ask
I'm only 17 years old and I've been a die-hard fan of this team since the beginning of that magical run in 1999. I've put up with a lot of flack from my friends for sticking by this team, even through the terrible 04 and 05 seasons. When the ol' gun slinger Kerry Collins led them to a 13-3 regular season record, I was branded a bandwagoner. I gave no shit and knew that I had stuck by this team for the past 9 years. The last two seasons have been a shitstorm of emotions, both from the Titans' players, coaches and organization, and from the Titans' fanbase, including myself.
As a natural sports fan, at the start of every year I believe that my favorite team will somehow pull it together and make a run at the ship. Most times, in fact every single year for the Titans so far barring 1999, has ended in disappointment and frustration. Mostly directed towards the average and below-average players and coaches that have come across this organization in these past 11 years.
This year, nothing has changed. I do believe that this team can go 8-8 if things go our way. Deep down inside I hold that small glimmer of faith that every one of our players will get their head on straight, report to camp, throw the ball well and shut the fuck up, perform at more than a mediocre level, and that our coaches will know what the heck they are doing. In all likeliness, this team will be mediocre for just another year.
All I ask of this team is for them to play hard. Bring some respectability and some toughness back to Titans football. There was always something that attracted me to the Titans. It was the physical play and the grit that they had at one point, only to eventually leave it at bay. Get back to it, play your god-damn asses off and hit those other teams in the mouth. Let's go two-toned blue, make us proud.

I don't think it's ever unnatural
as a sports fan to expect your team to at least berth the playoffs. Obviously if the Titans don’t make it this year, they have excuses. However, we have enough talent to beat a lot of teams. The best running back in the league, a solid/proven QB, one of the best deep threats in the league, an up and coming d-line and solid linebacker corp. Not to mention great youngsters at corner and lots of competition.
A month and a half to get everyone up to speed with a brand new staff is ridiculous, and to expect the Titans to make the playoffs might be ridiculous. But whatever happens, you’re right. If they play with passion once again, it will make for a fun season as we move into a new era.
Im with you man but...
Im a die-hard fan of this team since the 99 too
and one of the things that you said are truly right, cause they lost a part of the identity on this team in the last couple of seasons!! I mean where are the physichal game and thoughness specially on the D?? but all is no over..
So, you should be more optimistic about the future of this team cause they are doing some right things (except CJ´s Holdout) and i think that we have some good stuff on our roster to compete in this season. Remember this as a sports fan: one year could be a dissmiss and the next one could be the best!!
THE NEW LEGACY BEGINS.. LETS GO TITANS!!

been a die hard fan as since the move to TN
and I think even in the bad patches some of the core group had that desire for greatness… I think that the new organization can pull something out of their respective buttholes which even a semi successful season is cause for candidate for coach of the year… the Titans are a lot less mediocre than you think… this is the year we see more of our hidden potential
Collins gave us the best chance to win ma ballz
