Vikings vs. Titans: What to Look For On Offense
Jake Locker. That is who pretty much everyone who tunes into this game will be tuning in to watch. Mike Munchak said yesterday that he is going to get a healthy number of snaps, and it is going to be exciting to see where he is at this point.
Beyond that it will be interesting to see Javon Ringer, Jamie Harper and Stafon Johnson run the ball. They know that Ringer is a solid #2, but it will be interesting to see what they have in Harper. I have heard a lot of good about him so far. I think Johnson is a practice squad guy if anything, but he will get a chance to prove otherwise.
I am hoping with all of my might that Damian Williams, Lavelle Hawkins and Marc Mariani step up and play well this preseason so the coaching staff realizes it is time to move on from Justin Gage. If Gage makes the team it is more of an indictment on the skills of those three than an endorsement of Gage's talent.
There is also a pretty good battle for back-ups on the offensive line. They have guys like Mike Otto and Troy Kropog that need to step up and prove they can be starters in this league. One of them probably doesn't make the roster, so it could come down to who plays better in these games.

I don't want to consider a trade until
CJ shows up in camp.
(not pointing finger at anyone)
(team Reinfeldt)
It's all fun and games until someone gets a concussion from a stray flying footbal. *cough* Kerry *cough*

what the hell are we gonna get for a backup running back with less than 60 carries in his career?

Teams could take a chance based on what he did in michigan
We could get a 4 rounder
by p a on Aug 12, 2011 9:37 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions
a fourth rounder? for a guy who’s never started a game and doesn’t figure to any time soon? who’s desperate enough for a running back that they would part with a fourth round pick to get Javon freakin’ Ringer?

Trade CJ and run with Ringer, Stafon, and Harper.
I will never understand this Stafon Johnson thing…

I’m all for the human interest aspect of it, I think it’s awesome how he’s battled back twice now, but to actually feed this guy the rock in NFL regular season games having seen him carry the ball, what, twice in the preseason last year? that seems a little off.
