Shaun Smith, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs, just posted on his Twitter page that he is signing with the Tennessee Titans:

Were are my titans fans at let's go its time to win the divison and get this thing going can't wait to meet my teammates it feels weird but

Smith fits the bill of what Jerry Gray wants to do in beefing up the offensive line at 6-2 325.

I asked Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride for some thoughts on Smith. Click through the jump to see what he had to say.

I think the Titans are going to really like Shaun Smith. He's had some issues in the past but he had a solid year for the Chiefs and brought some personality to the team. You'll notice one thing quickly -- he likes to talk. A lot. He interacts with fans on his Twitter page quite a bit and will provide some entertaining quotes in the media. He's funny but knows when to shut up and play so it's not a distraction.

On the field, he was a big boost to the Chiefs last season. He played defensive end in the Chiefs 3-4 defense and while that's supposed to be one of those unsung positions Smith usually made you notice him. He was aggressive and frequently disrupted the opponent's offensive line. He was clearly among the Chiefs best defensive linemen so this is a disappointment to lose him.

It is good to see the fanbase of the team he is leaving upset about the loss.
