An article on ESPN.com says players could have a clean slate coming into this new CBA. Kevin Mawae told Nashville's "The Wake Up Zone" that "The policy will be discussed as one of the final pieces of a new collective bargaining agreement, but the union needs to be recertified first."

"Our view and our stance has been our players were unemployed, they didn't work for the NFL for the last five, six months," Mawae said. "So we would hope and argue that our guys start with a clean slate. We'll see how that goes.

They may have a clean slate as towards Goodell, but

I wouldnt put it pass any team to impose their own rules. All the news articles said Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt, so the team can claim that he was embarrassing the team.

Time for Kenny to grow up. Its a new regime and his misbehaving will not be tolerated like under the previous leadership. Sometimes you need a butt whuppin to punish bad behavior. But as long as Kenny B stays out of Jersey he should be OK. Its only when he is with his slug buddies his judgement get poor.

From the press conference today

It was made abundantly clear Mike’s not suspending him for anything that happened over the past several months.

I don’t expect a lot out of Britt this season; I’m afraid with the mentality he’s shown so far that he’s not going to be properly prepared and he’s going to start off slow and end up injured yet again.
