Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post tweeted that the Baltimore Ravens and OT/G Marshal Yanda have agreed to a deal that will keep him with the club. Wilson says the deal is in the 5-year $32 million dollar range. Yanda was a guy that I thought the Titans should give a look in free agency.
That deal should give the Titans an idea of where the market is going to be for free agent guards, whether it be to pursue a guy like or Harvey Dahl or re-sign Leroy Harris. In fact, that deal should be a little better than what either of those guys get because Yanda can play tackle.
You should not be surprised that the Titans have been quite today on the free agency front. That is the way the Mike Reinfeldt administration plays it. It is more about getting a guy that fits than winning the press conference.
While I like that philosophy, I hope they do target some positions to upgrade instead of just hoping guys will be better this year than last.
