The only downside to the Titans 4-2 start last season was the fact that Derrick Morgan was lost for the season in the 4th game with a torn ACL. Morgan has recorded two sacks in his first three games and looked poised for a strong rookie campaign. The one good thing about the injury for the 2011 season is that it happened so early in the year that he should be full strength when the season starts.
Morgan has been rehabbing hard and has said numerous times on Twitter that he is ready to go. He told Jim Wyatt the same thing:
"When I do come back, I have high expectations for myself," said Morgan, the team’s first-round pick in 2010. "I don’t want to make any excuses or lean on the injury or anything like that. I still plan on doing everything the Titans drafted me to do. I’m feeling good. I’m feeling really good, man."
I was pumped when Captain Morgan fell to the Titans in the 2010 draft. I am excited to see what he can do when he is able to play a full season.
