Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt has his story about what happened yesterday with his Facebook account, and he is sticking to it. You will recall the statement saying he was retiring from the NFL and an expletive directed at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Tonight he made a statement to The Tennessean and stuck by the hacking excuse:
"I have the utmost respect for Commissioner Goodell, the NFL and the TN Titans,’’ Britt said. "The Facebook posting as reported was not made by myself nor have I given any statements to anyone regarding this matter. It is not a defense but a fact that this Facebook page and associated email account were hacked and reported more than 120 days ago."
I don't buy for a second that his account was hacked, but at the end of the day I don't really care. It is time for Britt to get on a plane to Nashville and workout with his teammates. Being here working out with those guys would give him less time to do the stupid things that he seems to enjoy doing so much.
