Evan Silva of RotoWorld.com put out his first running back rankings for fantasy football in 2011, and he has Titans RB Chris Johnson third. He has him behind Jamaal Charles of the Chiefs and Arian Foster of the Texans. This is quite a bit different from last season when CJ was the #1 fantasy player on pretty much every site out there.
On one hand it is hard to argue with Charles and Foster being ahead of Johnson. Charles put up monster numbers last year when the Chiefs let him touch the ball, and Foster was the break-out fantasy player of the year, but I think both of these guys come with some major concerns.
For Charles, there is still the 212 pound elephant in the room named Thomas Jones. The Chiefs were determined to get Jones his touches last season even though he only averaged 3.7 yards per carry to Charles's 6.4.
Foster was really the only back the Texans used last year, but Ben Tate will likely take away some of his carries this season.
All of that being said, if you have the first pick in your fantasy draft, who are you taking? I am going with CJ.
