Alterraun Verner is already working with Akeem Ayers to get the rookie ready for his first NFL training camp. Even better news: the article mentions that Verner got a copy of the new playbook during that two day period where the lockout was off, so he and Ayers are actually working on Gray's notes and system. I'd hoped the Titans did their job and got these guys as much info as they could, and it certainly sounds like that's the case.
Nice job by PFW to read the same Tennessean story I linked above and repackage a few of the comments about what Ayers brings to the table as 'inside information'. Mike Florio would be proud. PFF interviews Titans safety Robert Johnson, who does a great job talking about his rough upbringing and swerving to avoid Chris Hope after the interviewer tried to throw him under the bus.

The Texans are taking perhaps the best 4-3 DE in the league, and completely changing his playing weight and defensive responsibilities. And, that's why they're the Texans. How much does Harbaugh think of Andrew Luck? He's having the Stanford QB actually teach the new 49ers coach's offense to rookie Colin Kaepernick. The next big date sure to disappoint NFL fans is June 3rd. Ann Killion writes about how bad of a hit the NFL is already taking in the court of public opinion, even though the league is nowhere near losing games yet. She makes a great point that the combination of suppressing proof of the impact of head injuries on NFL players, getting thrashed over benefits for veterans and now the loss after loss in the lockout make for a bad couple of years in terms of popularity for NFL owners.

I'm on page 95 of 362, and it's becoming more clear why Palmer was hired by Munchak.

He mentions he talked to Marcus Robertson about the things that might change from last years’ playbook, but that is what they are working out of.

He definitely sounds motivated and can back it up with actions...
that’s an attitude that I will embrace, with open arms, in Nashville, TN. The Titans only drafted one DB in the draft, and I really think that speaks some volume to the confidence that the new coaching staff has in the Titans current, available secondary. Griffin, Hope, Finnegan, McCourty, Verner, Schommer, Johnson, Rolle, Fuller, (don’t forget Rod hood), and others…. there’s got to be a starting four out of all of that…. not to mention that Tommie Campbell’s presence promises some degree of moderate competition in what will eventually be some sort of training camp. I am very interested to see RJ’s progression from year one to year two.

We go by UW, not WU. That being said, have fun with Jake, damn I’m going to miss watching him play. I’ll be rooting for Jake and the Titans from now on (until they play the Hawks in the super bowl, in which case I’m going to be extremely conflicted).
