Hey guys, what's up? We all love Locker. It's obvious now. My question for you now is who else do you like in our 2011 draft class?
Let us review our picks, and I'll add what I think about each player. You don't have to agree with me about it, but be sure to share your thoughts.
LB Akeem Ayers - I like this guy, he was criticized throughout the draft process for his speed and his ability to rush the passer. However, what I like about him is that he is a dynamic football player, he will be able to add that big play ability that we've been missing in the LB department.
DT Jurrell Casey - My favorite pick. He was considered a huge sleeper pick, and I think this is the best value pick we had. He is big, disruptive, and an overall monster. Isn't that what we've been missing in our D-line play?
LB Colin McCarthy - He is a tackling machine. He had 302 tackles at Miami. Most importantly he's a football player who is always where the ball is. His pursuit of the ball carrier is astounding.
RB Jamie Harper - He can play smash mouth football, yet he has decent speed. If we need anything to complement Chris Johnson, it's a power running game. Harper can deliver that.
DE Karl Klug - This guy plays with a high motor. He can give our D-line a boost, and I think Jerry Gray will use him in more ways than one.
T/G Byron Stingily - Another huge sleeper pick. I think this guy can develop into a great O-linemen. He can easily come in for an injured player and perform.
DT Zach Clayton - I had my doubts about this guy, but think of it this way: Tracy Rocker was his D-line coach at Auburn, and if anyone can get production out of him it's Rocker. Rocker knows what this guy's strengths and weaknesses are, and will utilize him accordingly.
CB Tommie Campbell - Another good steal. Talented player with a great story. I think the only thing holding this guy back from being a good NFL player are his off the field issues, and it's clear to me he's gotten past that.
What doe you guys think?
