The Tennessee Titans have selected UCLA LB Akeem Ayers with the 39th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. This draft is stacking up pretty nicely so far. They go their franchise QB in the first round, and in the second round they are able to add the 4-3 OLB that they desperately need.

Ayers will have a chance to come in here and start from day one. Ayers is 6-2 1/2 254. He gives Jerry Gray some of that size he was hoping to add at LB.

The Titans have to be happy to see this guy on the board, and really the top 6 picks of the second round couldn't have gone any better for the Titans. Now we have a little bit of time off before they come back on the clock with the 77th pick.

Hopefully at some point very soon we will get Alterraun Verner to give us his thoughts on a guy that he should know really well.
