Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Jake Locker = Brett Favre???

Hey guys, this is my very first post on here, so bear with me. Last week I read an article about a former NFL scout who seems to know his stuff, and isn't afraid to say it. The article includes a section where this guy compares Locker to Favre (in his prime, not the "What should I do?"  version). This scout REALLY likes Locker. Heres the link.

I saw someone compare him to Steve Young

Because of his ability to work outside the pocket.

I'm not opinionated. I just have an ego that you can't handle.

Awesome

I would be happy if this kid turned out to be just half of either one of those guys. Just without all the concussions and sexual harassment!

Well, you can add a 3rd HOF QB to the list of comparisons.

Because I read an article about a month back on NFL.com where John Elway said he sees a lot of himself in Locker. So let’s hope he can become half as great as one of these three.

The lone member of the "Suck For Luck" campaign!

That wasn't my point

I was simply excited because this kid is being compared to a HOF guy. I don’t think he will actually play like Favre. But being compared to a guy who is definitely gonna be in Canton is exciting. Especially when you have the majority of the media ready to rip on him. Hell, Mike Mayock gasped when they made this pick, and even had tape ready to go, just to tear into Locker. I officially despise Mayock now. Anyways, just thought this article was interesting, especially now that we drafted Jurrell Casey, who the scout also talks highly of.

Interception machine is something we will say alot during the Locker growing pains they should just start him day one and let him try to get it out of his system. Think its gonna be a growing pain year one or if they set him for three. Jakes a gunslinger period.

More comparable to a young Tampa Bay ungroomed Steve Young over Favre. Halbiet maybe a little worse in the pocket but its gonna be hard to evaluate Jake cause even at the senior bowl he didnt have the pocket Roos and Stewart will create.
