Best Titans Draft Picks, No. 3: RB Chris Johnson
Over the next few weeks heading up to the draft we will be highlighting the biggest busts and greatest picks in the history of the Titans. I have decided to only look at the picks the franchise has made since the move to Tennessee instead of trying to look back at the entire history of the franchise.
Now we will countdown the top 10 best picks in franchise history.
I don't think I need much explanation on this one. Chris Johnson was the 24th player taken in the 2008 draft. He is now the best running back in all of the NFL and is one of only six running backs in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season.
Top 10 Busts:
#10 Shad Meier
#9 Tyrone Calico
#8 Ben Troupe
#7 Courtney Roby
#6 Paul Williams
#5 Kevin Dyson
#4 Chris Henry
#3 Andre Woolfolk
#2 Adam Jones
#1 Vince Young
Top 10 Successes:
#10 Marc Mariani
#9 Bo Scaife
#8 Jevon Kearse
#7 Albert Haynesworth
#6 Keith Bulluck
#5 Michael Roos
#4 David Stewart
Correctly predict the first 32 picks of the 2011 NFL Draft and you’ll win $10,000,000!

Rec'd!
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

I'm guessing Mason is going to be the other.

When was Mason drafted?

If Eugene Amano is on this list and at 1 or 2...
I will jump off of a bridge
CJ is #3?
Finney and Griffen are 1 and 2?
I can’t think of anyone else to put there except maybe AV but it’s only been one year.
I live in the OC.
The one in OH.
Griffin as in Michael Griffin?
He can’t be ahead of CJ. He’s had his good moments but has been far too inconsistent the past couple of years.

And he was a 1st round pick right?

Then there is no reason for him to be ahead of CJ.

who else then?
Can you think of something else to be a top 2 best draft pick in Titans history?
I live in the OC.
The one in OH.
Finny is one because of where he was drafted.
The other one is up in the air. But Griffin has been in the league longer and hasn’t produced like CJ has in shorter time. So what makes Griffin higher than CJ?

Will see if the Tennesse Oilers count in this.
If they do then yes Mason will be it, if not then Mason cant be picked.

Oooooo I didn't think about that.
I stand by my prediction above if this is since the move to TN, otherwise I don’t know who it will be.

Jimmy comfirmed that Tennesse Oilers are part of it.
Mason will be #1 with Finnegan being #2

ahhh yes D-Mase
How could I forget our one solid WR pick. The owner of the NFL record for all-purpose yards in a season.
I live in the OC.
The one in OH.
+1
no way he is on this list after how awful 2009 was for him
Patrick Peterson= Next Deion Sanders. Julio Jones sucks.
How about this for a top-two guy: Robaire Smith.

Jimmy do the Tennesse Oilers Draft picks count also?
Or is it just the draft picks since the name changed to the Titans?

No one has answered this question since I started asking about it about a week ago
but if Dyson is on the bust list then all Tennessee Oiler draft picks should be considered.

I don't think you can put him ahead of Roos or Stewart.
Especially Stewart since they were both fourth round picks.

If you take last year out Amano was pretty good for a 7th round pick
Unofficial MCM representative of the Atlantic Time Zone.
It may be Amano.
He was abysmal last year, but he is still really good for where he was drafted. He just needs to be playing with a good Center, I think.

I'm guessing Rolle won't be on the list after comparing his stats to Finnegan
- will be Derrick Mason and #1 Finnegan. Finnegan was really important when this team was trying to establish some sort of identity around ’06, ’07.
