Is being in the AFC South a benefit this week?
I haven't heard anybody mention this and I just thought about it. Being in the AFC South, we are used to playing Peyton Manning twice a week. We usually play the Colts competitively and sometimes we even *gasp* win. With Peyton under center, the Colts offense is pretty damn good.
So by playing the Colts twice a year over the last decade, does that prepare us for other great QBs? I'm not sure if I would call it an advantage, but at the very least, we should know how to defend against a great QB, seeing as how we're used to doing it against Manning.
Does anybody else it this way?

I think an argument can be made to support your point.
For years every other team in the South has seen Manning impact their decisions one way or another. Look at the attempt Jacksonville has made in the past five years to find stud defensive players early.
However, I think the main benefit of being in the South this year is that, well, it sucks.

This week, yes, because no team in the AFC South
is likely to win a playoff game this year.

I see what you're saying ...
but I don’t know if getting destroyed by Peyton Manning for the past 2 years really gives us an advantage against Brees. If this defense had a track record of being effective against elite QB’s that what would be one thing … but this team has a record of getting sliced and diced by smart, efficient QBs.
And btw I’m really glad this isn’t true:
Being in the AFC South, we are used to playing Peyton Manning twice a week.
For the Jake of argument ...

THIS.....is what worries me the most about Sunday's game.
