Titans' Matt Hasselbeck Practices; Chris Johnson Limited
The Titans just wrapped up their Wednesday practice session. Matt Hasselbeck talked to the press after fully participating in the workout. He said that the calf feels better than last week and he just has to trust it more this week. Hopefully that means he is capable of running an offense that has a chance to be successful against an NFL defense- i.e. one that throws the ball down the field more than five yards at a time.
Chris Johnson practiced today on a limited basis. It sounds like he will be able to play against the Jaguars, but it remains to be seen if he will be 100%. Mike Munchak said they will know more when he tries cutting on the ankle tomorrow.
Speaking of Munchak, he is still going with the story that Hasselbeck is the quarterback that gives this team the best chance to win right now. For his sake I sure hope Hasselbeck plays well because it is going to get ugly around here if he doesn't and they lose to another terrible team.

I'm fine with Munch going with Matt if he thinks that.
But I do hope he’ll make the move to Jake in a reasonable time if Matt’s injury is still a problem for him.

And boo at players that are injured!
And cheer during moment of silences!
And throw beer bottles at opposing fans!
And be general all-around manpartsheads!

When they look like they are playing
something resembling football again, I’ll be more enthusiastic. Been watching them since their first year here in Memphis, have never missed even a pre-season game either being there or on TV, but the massive mediocrity and ability to simply not show up to play opponents that they’ve been demonstrating recently is starting to introduce some apathy.

Yeah well, we were supposed to look like that all year long.
Instead our team is showing flashes of brilliance, especially with our future quarterback in there.

I'll get my fan mojo back
eventually. Right now I just feel like the pod-people substitute players that showed up in that week one game against the jaguars have reappeared. Not sure if the real team will make an appearance again this season.
Im glad his calf feels better compared to last week....
Wait what??? If if feels better, that means it was hurting you and you had no buisness starting or playing last week! Thanks for clearing that up Matty!

Is anyone else disturbed at how we’re acting as a fanbase right now? I know you can justify not treating the organization favorably right now, at least logically… but since when did LP Field move to Philadelphia?
So we boo our teams now when they’re not playing up to our standards? If they’re struggling, shouldn’t we, you know.. support them?
No! Let’s be like Philly fans and boo our team when they’re playing badly. That may not help them and may make people not want to play for our already small-market team, but as long as it helps us temporarily satisfy our selfish anger by raining negativity down upon them, who cares?
I don’t care what your reasons are… If you boo our team at LP Field and they’re not getting blown out horribly, then you are an asshole. Plain and simple.

I've been one of CJ's harshest critics
And even early in the season when I went to games and he was getting boo’d, I was disgusted with it. I’m all for being critical of the team and players when the time is right, but I don’t at all agree with booing the home team. I’d rather watch from home than go to a game and actually boo the team I’m there to root for.
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

Seriously, Jimmy?
I took a year off from being active on this blog for personal reasons and because frankly, people that supported VY during that time weren’t really very welcome.

My bad
I thought I remembered you talking about how you turned into a Cowboys’ fan. Guess I misremembered.
Titans Blogger at Music City Miracles even though gramsey hates it.
No problem.
If I recall correctly, that thing originated from me making a fanpost on the Cowboys blog, then rothbard linked it to MCM telling everyone I had turned into a Cowboys fan. Chaos ensued.
Now it’s basically just a meme.

Also, I find it funny you first asked me if I did 'take a year off from being a Titans fan'
and after I replied saying I took a year off from MCM and not Titans fandom, you deleted that post and restated it as an absolute fact that I left Titans fandom for a year.

i have a sick feeling
When I think about Munchak mirroring the Stubbornness of Fisher by sticking with Hasslebeck when even he admitted he wasn’t entirely healthy. The same stubbornness that infiltrates other coaching decisions. I hope this isn’t a pattern to come.
