Hello friends at MCM, I haven't posted too much on the site this past year. I do get on here and read a lot though. I felt compelled to get on and post a little during the game today, and thought I'd share my thoughts now that I've let this one soak in a little.
I can honestly say that Chris Johnson is my least favorite Titan at the moment. What a crappy year he has had. Time after time he puts out little effort on balls thrown his way and today it cost the team a chance at a playoff spot. He was awful in so many ways, the two yard run in the second quarter where he got smashed was a joke...zero effort. Then he made it worse in the third on the interception. No effort for that ball at all.
I have been happy with the team this year...never expected them to be in the playoff hunt. I have to give Munch and his staff credit for that. But he needs to learn how to manage a game. Last week I was SCREAMING at the tv to challenge the spot and then this week he burns his 3rd time out with 6:23 left in the 4th. I know he was stopping the clock, but what if we would have needed a challenge? You have to keep one in your back pocket until the 2 minute warning or as close to it as possible. Luckily it wasn't needed.
I like Hasselbeck. He has been outstanding this year and he really wasn' t horrible today. He was too injured and should not have been in there. But I can't fault him and his effort all season.
Locker was solid again, I don't know how it would have been the entire game, but the run and dump offense we were using with Matt sure wasn't working. Don't understand the play calling or QB decision.
We should look back to this year as a success. The defense is young and is going to be good. We have a good QB for the future. I just really worry about the coaching situation....he has to get better for this team to be better next year.
