Tennessee Titans Javon Ringer Likely Out for Season
Jim Wyatt just tweeted that he is hearing Titans' back-up running back Javon Ringer has a broken hand. If that is true, he will be out for the season according to Jim Wyatt.
This is obviously not a huge blow for the Titans unless Chris Johnson goes down with an injury. It does mean that the Titans will have to make a roster move, which is something that they have not had to do for the last 9 weeks. That is pretty much unheard of in the NFL today.
Wyatt also tweeted earlier today that Matt Hasselbeck's calf injury doesn't appear to be a tear. It is likely that he will miss at least one game, but it is not something that is going to land him on IR. Wyatt compared it to the injury Kerry Collins had last season that forced him to miss 2 weeks.
It will be good for Locker to be able to take the reigns over the next couple of weeks. He can fight to keep this team in the playoff hunt and gain some valuable experience for next season.

Herb Donaldson, Stefan Johnson and Clinton Portis (worked him out I think) are probably options.

Darn...
I really thought Hasselbeck would be back this week.

I don't mind cause the Colts aren't that great so Locker would get experience.
The question would be if Beck misses next 2 games and comes back for the Texans game, who would start, assuming we win the next 2 weeks

If there is one game I would be ok with Locker starting, it's this one.
And I can’t believe I’m saying that, it’s unfortunate that they’re going to end up with Luck or I’d be enjoying it so much more. CONSPIRACY!!!!!111

Harper
He’s a beast and a power back. Should be great for short yardage situations, and can catch out of the backfield. He’ll be a good number two.

I've been wanting to see what Harper can do anyway.
I don’t understand why we’re not using him in short yardage.

CJ, Eddie George, and Jamie Harper. That's what I would do.
Media - "How does it feel to be that fast?"
CJ - "It feel real good."

This is going to be one tough test for Locker, as weird as that sounds.
Going into Indy, against two outstanding pass rushers with an offensive line that may or may not decide to protect him. Let’s not get him killed guys.

I trust Roos and Stewart against the ends.
And their interior is not that good. The biggest concern is they obviously have nothing to play for and I’m afraid we may come out overconfident or play down to the level of competition after a demoralizing ending yesterday. Hopefully they come out on fire and looking to just whip the Colts.

I wouldn't be too worried about overconfidence
Coming off a stinging close loss and knowing that they need to win out to make the playoffs, I’d hope and expect the Titans to be very focused

The biggest thing we'll miss
is Ringer’s pass protection. That’s why he’s been in on the 2 minute drill so often this season.

Wasn't Harper used as a blocker a lot in college?

This is good
The fact that they know Hass is out next week will give Locker a full week to prepare as the starter, and it’s a game where we should not be totally reliant on him pulling a rabbit out of is hat. They still have good pass rushers, so there will be a need for him to shift in the pocket well and/or get rid of it quickly; thing I personally would like to seem him do more rather than the immediate roll-out that halves the field. Seems like he does that a bit too often currently.
er
make that things I personally would like to see him do….

Sucks for Ringer
I have been kind of wanting to see what Harper would do in meaningful game action though. Guess now he will have that chance
