I really wanted him too.
I thought we at least came out with a decent pick. Not anymore. Just imagine if Washburn had developed JPP. Holy crap. I’m sure we were gonna draft him too. I’m just positive we were. But he got snagged one pick before. Shame. Shame. Shame.

the only thing we could have done is trade up to get him and he was a huge boom/bust prospect with very little football experience so it could have explosively backfired.

Plus the G-men traded up to get the pick before us.
Don’t recall who was just before us, but they didn’t need a DE, so we seemed pretty locked in to get him.
But man, it stings watching JPP make plays with my Giants friends and thinking about what could have been.
