Ian Rapport of the Boston Herald is reporting that the New England Patriots have released Albert Haynesworth. It is amazing how far he has fallen in just a few short year. It is not surprising, but it still amazing.
There is absolutely no reason for the Titans to have any interest in Haynesworth at this point. I was in favor of trying to bring him in last year when Jeff Fisher and Jim Washburn were still here, but bringing him in here with this current coaching staff would be a terrible idea.
It is obvious that he is a guy that was just playing for that big contract and has shut it down. That was what the Titans were concerned about, and it turns out that they were 100% correct on this one. He caused problems pretty much from day one in Washington, and now the Patriots have decided that he isn't even worthy of a roster spot.
