This was easily the best day of the year for the run game. Chris Johnson finished the day with 190 yards on 23 carries. That is the third highest rushing total of his career. He is finally on pace to finish the year with 1,000 yards.
With all of that being said, there were still too many plays where guys are in the backfield blowing up the play before it even has a chance to get started. There is still plenty of room for improvement, but you have to give a high grade when a back goes for 190 and averages 8.3 per carry.
Grade: A
The passing game was not so good. Matt Hasselbeck had his worst game of the season. He was 19 of 34 for 160 yards with 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. The weather didn't do him any favors today, but he is going to need to be better than that for this team to make a run.
The protection was not as good today as it has been in the past either. Hasselbeck was only sacked twice, but he was under pressure a lot of the day.
Grade: D
