Paul K has a great piece on the rise of Damian Williams. It's taken Williams a while to start cashing in on his potential, but over the past few weeks he's really been stepping up. Hopefully last week was his coming out party as a legit NFL wide receiver, because Hasselbeck desperately needs one to compliment Nate Washington.
Grantland writer, and former Football Outsiders scribe, Bill Barnwell lauds our D's outstanding performance against the Panthers. Barnwell has great tidbits on how oppressive our defense was (if only for a day), and contends that they may have had the best day of any unit in the league on that particular Sunday.
Playing the Tackle position. We can still do it:
Tennessee Titans: The duo of Michael Roos and David Stewart rank fifth and seventh in Pass Blocking Efficiency at 96.8 and 96.7.
Playing the NFC. We can still do that to.
How good was the front office's move to get Matt Hasselbeck? Just read at this article reviewing the veteran QB options from this past offseason.
Brothers Jordan and Jonathan Babineaux will face-off for the first time since the Seahawks played the Falcons next week.
Sunday's game will be a homecoming for Titans TE Jared Cook and LB Gerald McRath, who both grew-up close to Atlanta.

It’s in the long run that you truly see how bad Vince is. He’s one bad game and a few boos from having another mental breakdown.

i wouldn't be shocked
if VY lights it up…he always comes through when the playoffs are out of reach and there’s no pressure. He’ll extend plays, and sure he’ll make boneheaded throws but i bet he plays comparatively well. It’s only in season’s when he’s the starter from the beginning and everyone expects him to perform well that he sucks it up.
He’s just soft…mentally.

I'd like to see them mixed in and worn once or twice a year, but I still prefer the current uniform over those.

Well, true.
But it’s also partly because I like the color better.

And your crazy if you blame VY for wrecking the team. There were a ton of issues. And at least we played mediocre ball with him instead of that 5-11 crap we dealt with before we drafted him.

I loved this one:
The team wasted time when Justin Gage was higher in the receiver rotation before it woke up to the fact that Gage wasn’t going to help. (Gage did drop down the preseason depth chart and was cut when rosters were trimmed.) That’s work that could have helped Williams earlier on. But that only partially explains why he’s not been better, faster.
