It was really good to see Marc Mariani make a big play on Sunday.  He had been pretty much a non-factor for most of the season due in large part to the new kickoff rule.

SPECIAL TEAMS: PR-WR MARC MARIANI, TENNESSEE TITANS

·         Mariani totaled 103 punt return yards on six returns (17.2 average), including a 79-yard punt return-touchdown in the Titans’ 30-3 win at Carolina.

·         Mariani’s punt return-touchdown came at the 13:56 mark in the first quarter to give the Titans an early 7-0 lead.

·         Registered his third career return touchdown (two punt return, one kickoff return) and first of the season.

·         His 103 punt return yards set a career high and tied for the seventh-most in franchise history in a single game.

·         Through Week 10, Mariani ranks third in the AFC with an 11.6 punt return average.

·         In his second season from Montana, this is Mariani’s second career Special Teams Player of the Week Award. He previously won the award in 2010 (Week 11).
