Tennessee Titan Daily Links: One Tough Hawk Edition

 I rattled off a list of the similarities between these Panthers and Titans teams last night on MCM Radio, with one of the biggies being the off-season drama surrounding DeAngelo Williams and Chris Johnson. Both running backs got big paydays, and are struggling to adjust to the increased tenor of criticism from fans and fantasy players.

 Lavelle Hawkins will play on Sunday with a finger that was so dislocated after the Bengals game the bone was poking through the skin. While I applaud Hawkins' toughness, I'm also hopeful this opens the door for Donnie Avery to get a little more involved in the offense. We could really use a few plays that take advantage of his deep speed.

 Former Nittany Lions Mike Munchak and Tim Shaw weighed in on what might be the most disturbing scandal to hit the sports landscape in my lifetime. Simply put, everyone losses in this one.

 How weird is it that the Titans' offense has looked so ugly running the 2-minute drill late in the game, yet they run it so well going into halftime. It just doesn't make any sense.

 Matt Hasselbeck didn't practice yesterday, but it was mostly just a precaution.

 PFF ranks the 10 most impactful free agents, and two of them were Titans last year (Jason Babin and Stephen Tulloch).
