Nate Washington was having the best season of his tenure with the Titans before Kenny Britt got hurt. He had 6 catches against Jacksonville, 7 catches against Baltimore and 8 catches Denver. His numbers since then have only been 2, 5, 1 and 4. That is not getting it done.
The four catch game was Sunday against the Colts. One of those was for a touchdown. He also had a swing pass that was technically a run for a touchdown. We have spent a lot of time talking about guys like Damian Williams and Jared Cook need to step up with Britt out, but Washington makes more money those guys combined. The Titans are paying him number one receiver money, and it is time he stepped up and earned it.
Sunday was a step in the right direction for that. It sure would be nice for him to turn in another big game this week against the Bengals.
