Tennessee Titans Game Ball of the Week: Nate Washington
Nate Washington was having the best season of his tenure with the Titans before Kenny Britt got hurt. He had 6 catches against Jacksonville, 7 catches against Baltimore and 8 catches Denver. His numbers since then have only been 2, 5, 1 and 4. That is not getting it done.
The four catch game was Sunday against the Colts. One of those was for a touchdown. He also had a swing pass that was technically a run for a touchdown. We have spent a lot of time talking about guys like Damian Williams and Jared Cook need to step up with Britt out, but Washington makes more money those guys combined. The Titans are paying him number one receiver money, and it is time he stepped up and earned it.
Sunday was a step in the right direction for that. It sure would be nice for him to turn in another big game this week against the Bengals.

He doesn't have to have a ton of catches every game
As long as he’s taking the ball deep to take the top off the defense
Can the game ball only be given to an Offensive player?
No offense, (no pun intended) but the offense, in my opinion, did very little to contribute to Sunday’s win, they continually squandered good field position handed to them by the defense and special teams, and had completely untimely 3 and outs, providing little opportunity for the D to rest.
This game was about the DST and without them we would have lost, I could have caught Nate’s shovel pass and scored.
What's our record?
3 and 3
How'd we ever win 3?
I could have caught Nate’s shovel pass and scored.
Prove it

The game ball easily goes to Defense (with the emphasis on Special Teams)
They gave up little to nothing on returns, scored a touchdown, and dominated the counterpart in every aspect. I cannot say the same about the others. While everyone else was getting a “B,” I would award special teams with an A to A-
But, I do agree that Nate needs to continue to step up, but until this game, he was the only receiver catching the ball.

I think Nate has proved this year that....
He is a top flight #2 WR as long as he has a top flight #1 WR. I am looking foward to seeing him and Britt on the field again next year with hopefully the same early results minus the injury.

You called a writer a ‘douchebag.’ Sorry, gotta ban you for that comment.
I think Nate will do ok against the Bengals
but the run game must be fixed in order to get this win… but meh, nobody will read this though
