My Thoughts On Positions and What Can Be Done Now.

If we are going to be serious about this team at this point in the season we have to evaluate how the play is going on with all the positions to see what the problem is and if it is fixable this season to salvage a possible playoff berth.

QB - Hasselbeck is playing extremely well and no change is needed for the rest of the season.

RB - Johnson isn't hitting the hole like he used and has no vision at this point. Ringer should get more touches to see if he provides any spark. I think Harper was a preseason back for this season.

FB - Hall, as far as I've seen, is doing what he needs to do to help out in pass and run blocking.

WR - Besides Nate, the receivers are not stepping it up and if they can hold on to the ball and get open could help more than they are now.

TE - Stevens is doing what he is supposed to do. Cook isn't getting the ball. Graham hasn't been used as much as he should be.

O-Line - Something in the interior of the line has to change they are getting no push off the line and other than putting in Velasco there is not much that can be done at this point.

Offensive woes are in the run game. If Johnson/Ringer start producing or the line starts getting a push the offense should turn it around.

D-Line - Playing extremely well considering they basically have 3 first year players in the rotation; Morgan, Klug, and Casey. Even with a good rotation they can't be out there the entire time.

LB - Ruud is getting knocked around by everyone is doing pretty much nothing. Spoon and Ayers are doing as expected and can't ask much more.

DB - Corners are playing great but aren't getting help from the safeties, Griffin.

The defense is always on the field and being put into terrible situations. They can't really be blamed for a lot of it, but too many big plays are being made against this D whether they are in bad situations or not.
