Tennessee Titans Week 7 Snap Report

Here is how the snaps broke down for the Tennessee Titans offensive skill players against the Texans (via PFF):

Nate Washington’s 44 snaps paced the Titans offense in Week 7. Donnie Avery was next up among wideouts with 28. Lavelle Hawkins followed with 26. Damian Williams missed the second half, but racked up 20 snaps before his injury. Marc Mariani was in on two snaps. Jared Cook handled 29 snaps, only six of which were run plays. His 21 pass routes trailed only Washington and Hawkins among Titans skill position players. Daniel Graham (19 snaps) and Craig Stevens (10) also saw some action at tight end. Chris Johnson was in on 29 snaps, compared to 17 for Javon Ringer. Jamie Harper was in on two plays.

A few things from that:

Donnie Avery will be the #2 soon- maybe even this week.
That is a lot of snaps for Ringer. I would like to see that continue.

maybe it is just coincidence

or maybe Stevens has a bigger influence in our ofense than we think..two games Stevens was limited and in those two games the offense failed to produce anything

ok my browser is going crazy…what I was saying is maybe Stevens plays a bigger role than we think in our ofense..in the two games he has been limited the ofense didnt do anything

Message to CJ: You just got paid RIDICULOUS money. It’s time for you to elevate this team and not just “do what you’ve been doing since you got here.”

Obviously what “he’s been doing” isn’t working whatsofreakingever and as the team’s top paid playmaker he needs to “do something he’s NOT been doing.”

Additional thought that I have not yet seen posted...

Not that I’m of this opinion, but now that almost everyone and their mother (myself included) is trashing the Hawk (aside from Jonne) and D. Will, anyone starting to think that Justin Gage was not worse than them??? Food for thought…

Am not trashing our receivers. I still back them. Justin Gage couldn’t catch a cold and it has been my dream for him to leave FOREVER. If our core had really been that bad all along, why didn’t the organization do something about it?

But I look at the Steelers and look at all their WR talent. And I have to wonder how a team that typically drafts so low, could have amassed such talent at that position. Its as if we have the worst WR scouts in the league.

i'd guess in depth scouting

WHo woulda thought that Cam would be doing so well passing the ball?

I just read that we were out gained 508-147

Foster and Tate had more yards rushing then our entire offense. A Foster’s total yards were more than our entire offense. Does anyone remember a game where the naked bootleg worked to perfection more than 3 or 4 times? Yesterday I counted 9 successful play action naked bootlegs. LOL we blitz one time and get a sack, and then never blitz (from what I saw) the rest of the game….How does such a thing happen? Oh yea and F CJ and our O Line. Everyone wants to point fingers well then point them at the lot. It’s all of them, coaches down.
