If you could have one former Titan ...

Since I refuse to study for my computer programming exam I have tomorrow, I thought I'd make this here fanpost asking you (yes, even you Pratt) a simple question:

Star-divide

If you could have one former Titan, in the prime of his career, playing for the Titans right now, who would it be, and why?

There's plenty of good options, and I'm sure most lists would be headlined with the man/myth/legend that we know as #9.

Here's my pick and why:

Keith Bulluck, LB.  - - - I'll deviate away from picking McNair since that's probably what a lot of others would pick, and a solid choice, as McNair in his prime is a legend. But like I said, deviating away from that, I would want Keith Bulluck. Year in and year out, you know what you were going to get out of Keith Bulluck, and that was a playmaker, a leader, and a tackling machine. I think this year's Titans team could use what Bulluck in his prime brought to our defense.

(Note to anyone using Bulluck: His name is indeed spelled BULLUCK, not BULLOCK!)

Now your turn. Ready, set, GO!

I have to pick Eddie.

I´m not from TN, and the reason I am a titans fan is Eddie.
I had never watched a whole game in my life before the SB we lost. Why? I live in Brazil and it was very hard to follow the nfl on tv. So I stopped to watch that game and Warner started raping the titans D and got them the big lead.

Then some guy wearing #27 started playing his heart out. I was immediately moved by his running style and his will to bring the titans back to the game. So i guess i owe it to Eddie that i love the titans as much as i do.
(worth mentioning that the play McNair just wouldn´t fall down and just kept the play alive, it made me sure that the team I got “enamored” with was worth following).

Albert Haynesworth in a landslide.

The guy, by himself, made everyone on our defense better x2. There is no one, in their prime, that could match his value to us.

GO TITANS!!!

from a purely strategic POV

Albert is the answer and it’s not even close.

Ok... so Eddie is out the Friggin window

So I’m going with Steve. Steve was what you call a tough player, really the whole original Titans team was. I was born in Nashville Tennesse, and had to migrate to Virginia in 1998, sooooooooooo I felt REALLY good when the next season the team in Memphis I was barely aware of moved to Tennesee. It helped a slightly homesick child have something to be proud of from his home city. When they actually made the Super Bowl I went apeshit, then there was the play that made Steve McNair my official hero, it seemed like forever he was back there shedding Rams off of him to get that ball to Dyson. I felt like we HAD to win the game at that point. We all know the end so i shall skip the story.
Steve always made his toughness his way to motivate players, he never complained, he wasn’t a guy who seemed like he had to yell at his team to get them in check, he just took the lead and everybody knew they were safe in his hands. He might not make the HOF, but he’s played better than a good 90% of the QB’s in there imo. He loved the sport, and it loved him. RIP Air McNair.

PS… honorable mention: Pacman Jones (without the jail sentence and the mediocrty that followed)

The Freak, please.

Put his ‘99 season on this year’s Titans squad and I put my money on an AFC Championship.

I second this

Kearse in his prime better then our entire to D-Line.

I love Air McNair, but Hasselbeck is doing fine

Only one former Titan?

I want 9.

Steve McNair, Steve McNair, Steve McNair, Steve McNair, Steve McNair, Steve McNair, Steve McNair, Steve McNair, and Steve McNair.

Because Steve McNair was a badass.

I used to have McNair posters and mementos all over my room before he became a Raven. My second Titans jersey ever was a McNair number 9 (first Titans jersey ever was a Kearse jersey, of course.)

That’s why.

Though, Drew Bennett was my second favorite Titan ever.

Don’t know why, but Kearse and Eddie never really gelled with me.

why drew?

i really didn´t like that guy. I´m not sure why that is. I always got the feeling that he was great when it mattered less and dissapeared when the games were on the line.

My favorite 2011 Titan so far has to Hasselbeck.

It’ll be CJ once he, you know, ACTUALLY DOES SOMETHING!

Hey, I always like CJ

Cuz even in his suckyness, defenses have to be prepared for him no matter what, and I still respect someone who has to be specially gameplanned against

very true...

and no matter how frustrating it is to see him struggle, we do have to remember that he is likely much of the reason our passing game is doing so well. HOWEVER, he does need to step it up very damn soon.

Wow...

just took a look at that, and Finny’s are on sale too. I’m sure that this is just a move to get the sales pumping on jerseys for two players whose sales have thus far not met expectations. The replica jerseys are just 13% off, but it is a bit concerning that Chris Johnson and Courtland Finnegan jerseys are being sold for the same price as Randy Moss, Vince Young, and Albert Haynesworth jerseys. weird…

CRAIG!!!

Bringing Craig back will add countless touchdown drives. He will also wrap up thousands of tackles a game.

I have to cheat and pick 2! Since I can't pick 9

I’ll take fire and ice -- Marcus Robinson and Blaine Bishop!

I voted Eddie. I'm a Buckeye at heart.

My first instinct is #9. But I’m comfortable with our QB situation for a change. He’s my alltime fav, but need help elsewhere.
LOVE Bulluck. I have his game used gloves, he replies to me on twitter, & he lead the Tyrants D. Cant go wrong picking him. But this D is ranked in top 10.

Running game is junk right now(&killing my fantasy team!). Add Eddie’s bruising style to CJ speed & thats legit! Who better to fix the worst part of the team?

This one's a no brainer

If you’re including the Oilers in this….hands down…Earl Campbell. If it only applies to Titans…again…easy pick…Bruce Matthews….next question?
