Just a few minutes ago the Titans, flanked by Nashville mayor Karl Dean, announced some very big upgrades to LP Field, including new video screens that will be higher definition and four times as big as the current ones, remodeled concourses, a huge upgrade to the sound system and elevators for the upper deck concourse. There are also a lot of smaller changes that will be made to rejuvenate LP Field. This sounds pretty awesome.
Ahmard Hall spent most of his bye week back home in the Houston area, and he's here to remind you that we're still the number one rival for a ton of Texans fans. I don't entirely get why... something about Bud Adams and moving trucks. Who knows. Either way, games between the Titans and Texans are almost always close and always heated. There have been two outright brawls over the past three Titans/Texans games, and the roots between the two organizations run deep. With Peyton not around to make the Colts a viable NFL team, the Texans have certainly jumped to the top of the list when it comes to AFC South rivals.
Paul K says the TItans should continue to feed Chris Johnson, but try to work Jamie Harper into the mix so we can see what he can bring to the table. Based upon the limited reps we've seen him get in the preseason and week one, I don't really think Harper could give the running game much of a boost. Of course, our rushing attack is so anemic right now I doubt Harper could do much worse.
Jim Wyatt is here to remind you that last season went completely off the rails after the bye week. Of course this team is much more stable and has much more leadership than that team had. So you can expect that whatever happens, there will be a lot less crying and storming off like a petulant teenage girl.
So the basic takeaway here is the Titans are doing their job by checking out every single possibly viable option at WR to help absorb some of what we lost when Britt landed on the IR.

The Cowboys have signed former Titan O-lineman Daniel Loper.
FO's new DVOA rankings are out, and the Titans are 8th overall, and the highest ranked team in the AFC South my a mile (the Texans are 16th, the Colts are 29th and Jax are 30th).

I don’t really think Harper could give the running game much of a boost. Of course, our rushing attack is so anemic right now I doubt Harper could do much worse.
With our running game so anemic right now, why not try to work Harper into rotation a little more? Especially in goal-line, close yard situations. I mean I know CJs dominating 3YPC and 1TD is decimating defenses and all… but I think it would be nice to see what we’ve got in Harper so far.

I think Harper could do better on a bad run line simply because he’s a power back… power backs don’t really need a crease they just hit stick mofos till their will is enforced… “gtfo my way ho”, if he can just run more north/south lets get it… Ringer i like him on passing downs more, plus he has a pretty smooth running style so he should sub for Chris mostly.. but Harper is a good change of pace

Yes, but in all fairness
The “past” that hal refers to is from the pro-Harper crowd who’s sample size on CJ is 5 games (under extraoridnary circumstances at that when given context), and the “past” you refer to from the “pro-CJ” crowd is of a much larger sample size (3 seasons). Not taking a side either way, but I think it’s apples and oranges.

Giving Harper a couple carries in certain situations isn't giving up on CJ.

To some extent you're right.
He doesn’t play like a typical big back. But if you look off his draft tapes, he doesn’t fit the Brandon Jacobs style of play. I don’t know why everyone seems to be expecting him to play like Jacobs. He’s a much different back.

Harper does?
I’m looking at Harper’s videos right now just to refresh my memory, but its rare to see him bowl someone over. I think people have their expectations out of line if they think he’s like LenDale. His hands are far superior and he’s much less physical.

He was the feature back of the entire preaseason, pretty much.
38 carries was by far the most, with Stafon Johnson having 27.

I actually think CJ is close to being back to where he is, but he doesnt’ need 2000 carries a year, it’s not that kind of party he just needs a normal to low workload and he probably still produce the same numbers if we decreased his carries… remember, CJ’s gift is he can get into the secondary EXTRA fast

Hey ya'll, I finally figured out what's wrong with CJ.
It came to me watching the RB on my 9 yr old’s team. He’s reacting to the defense…in stead of making the defense react to him. He’s hesitating, looking for holes…in stead of exploding through the line like the old CJ used to.

As an attendee for the past ten years, I wholly endorse the proposed renovations.
Absolutely think they’re needed and would hopefully make the gameday experience better. I’d also like to see some additions unique to LP that give a better fan experience, not sure what that would look like though.

#1 and #2 aren't neccessarily positions, to me.
To me, the #1 receiver is your best receiver, the one you throw to most often. In that sense, Nate is without a doubt our #1. Avery i could see moving as high as #2, but i think he is far more likely to be a #3 or 4 guy.

I'll explain
we were given a sheet of foam-core board (it’s actually some strong stuff), and told to design a chair out of it that holds like 200 lbs of pressure on the seat itself and 40 lbs on the back.
This class is some stupid class all incoming college students have to take and you get put into a specific one of these classes depending on your major, therefore I am in the engineering majors section of the class and as you may well know, engineers like building things.
Our chair sucked and now we have to do a powerpoint over the design. I’m hungry.

Seriously, open your eyes…. the dude absolutely SUCKS this year! He has been paid, what else does HE need to worry about? Nothing! CJ is a me first type of player and person… he is a FRAUD, a Con-Man and it looks like most of you guys are buying that shit right up!
I agree with a few here… give Harper a shot at some carries, maybe it would light a fire under CJ’s Ass! I doubt it, because in all honesty, CJ is DONE… he got his money and now he just wants do his thing, on his own!!

forgive me for believing in the best weapon from scrimmage since LT was good. I’ll continue to think he’s our best option going forward until Javon Ringer and/or Jamie Harper prove they’re worth anything at all.
