8-8?
So here we are again, another losing season under Jeff Fisher. Last season in the midst of the 0-6 start i wrote a fan post entitled "8-7-1 The Jeff Fisher Story" and I took a lot of heat for it. I've just sat back and watched this season playout on the field, paper, and on MCM. There is not much to say these days that has not already been said. This franchise is stuck in neutral. We have no franchise QB, a mediocre coaching staff, and our owner has one foot in the grave. Its pretty bad that I am starting to miss the days of bitching about Nick Harper, but atleast then we all knew what the problem was. Now it seems everything about our team is a basketcase. And speaking of basketcases, we can say what we want about VY but he still won more than he lost. His career record still stands better than Jeff Fishers. Im not too sure yet if VYs departure is better or worse for us but only time will tell. I guess we will find out next season-if there is a next season. Im in disbelief that we are looking at another season of Kerry Collins and Chris Simms. Rusty Smith? The answer he is not. Will we go after a QB in the draft? Free Agency? Donovon McNabb? Will we be predictible as usual and draft Marcel Dareus? WILL DONNIE NICKEY BE A TITAN IN 2011? I'd say if Nickey is back, its a tale-tale of things to come and we are looking at 8-8 again.

8-8 would be a blessing
This team is gonna be rebuilding for the next 3 years or so. I say 4-12 with a top 3 draft pick next year, My only optimism is if KB can get healthy for the whole year and the development of ATV
Oh hai MCM

I dont really think it would be a blessing honestly.
Fisher over-achieves with bad teams so it would really just be the norm. 9-7 would be a blessing. Since we have never been 9-7 before.
We are starting a new era in Titans football.
We have been stuck in neutral because of VY. He was hot a couple weeks and invisible when we needed him in games like Christmas against SD last year. On top of that he was injured all the time. I think an experienced and healthy QB (other than Collins) could get us back to the top again because I believe the team is even more talented now than it was back then. We can’t really rule Fisher or Vince at fault for the mediocrity of the past few years until we watch this offseason and the 2011 season (if there is one) unfold.

I wouldnt put it all on VY.
We might have had a pretty decent corner during the Nick Harper years had Adam Jones panned out. That set us back pretty good as well.
You're right not ALL his fault.
Jones was on his way to being one of the great corners of all time. Both those guys have natural talent but their heads weren’t in the game. You know, that might be the biggest theme of the past decade. Immaturity and lack of concentration. Jones, Fat Albert, VY and the list goes on. Look at Vick. He got his head right and he’s been a consistant elite talent ever since. Great point.

No WAY...
this team goes .500 or better, not a chance.
Official MCM Pessimist.
Congratulations, Bud Adams! By giving Jeff Fisher AT LEAST an 18th year to fail, you have pretty much guaranteed you will not live to see your team win a Super Bowl Championship. Thanks for caring more about Jeff Fisher than about winning.
