Denver looking to deal Kyle Orton
The price to acquire his services would be a 2nd rounder. My old team, the Broncos are going full steam ahead w/ Tim Tebow it looks like. Assuming we get rid of VY, Orton can be a decent stopgap while we develop a QB picked from this year's draft. He played pretty well this year despite having McDouchebag calling plays, no Brandon Marshall, no Peyton Hillis, and virtually no other help outside of BL. Well one thing going for him, is that he's younger than KC, better prepared than Rusty, and costs less than what a Kolb type would require.

I just dont know
how would be team chemistry after what he said…
TOUCHDOWN...GUESS WHO...KENNY BRITT!
Screw Kyle Orton
That is all
My last two signatures were about Vince Young and Rusty Smith. I'm sure as hell not giving Collins room down here. So this will be my signature until the Titans show me something signature worthy.
But I digress, GO TITANS!
Especially not for a second round pick

He's due like $8 million next year.
If that price comes down or a renegotiation happens, I could go for Orton as a game-manager, short-term guy. BUT, I don’t see anyone (including the Titans) giving up a second-rounder for him, especially if Denver is moving forward with Tebow. At that salary, Orton is more likely to just be cut or traded for much less just to dump the salary.

There isn't a great choice out there to mentor a rookie
Orton might just be the lesser of the evils, but if we don’t package our 2nd round pick to move up for Luck, he could be mentoring Cam Newton
I hope your implying the Titans take Cam Newton
Worst idea ever. Cam Newton= Jamarcus Russell type bust. He is a great college QB, but will be a horrible NFL QB.

I'm just saying that if we don't move up from 8th he could be the only QB available.
I hear the negative comments about Newton, but I remain undecided on him at this point. I’m looking forward to the bowl game to get a better feel for what he is.
What other options are there? Trade down
Just because we need a Franchise QB
doesn’t mean we have to take one this year. Being a good college QB doesn’t always translate to the NFL. Nothing he could do in that bowl game could change my mind on his ability to play QB in the NFL. He makes one read, if the receiver isn’t open then pulls the ball down and runs. Same as what Tebow did at Florida. NO to drafting Cam Newton. Just NO.

i will not trade a 2nd rounder for orton. and i wouldnt want cam newton either. hes just like a vince young 2.0.
i would want a qb that actually stays in the pocket.
I wasn't trying to start a Cam Newton arguement
I’m just wondering what QB’s will be available at 8th. Luck and Locker will be gone, we either need to package the 2nd round pick to move up to get one of these guys or role the dice on a later round QB
I’d take option A
I would trade 3rd and a late round pick
for orton. Not a 2nd. Or maybe 3rd this year and 3rd next.

I'm down with that. I think he could be solid in the right system.
He seems like a decent game manager. I think he could be good-great here. He’s better than anything on our roster right now.

For good or ill
Orton might be the best option out there. Think about who else is available or could potentially become available and I’m leaving Vick and Manning out of this since there is no way they we see the open market. I actually rank Orton 2nd behind McNabb and above Kolb because he has 3 years of starter experience and would cost less. I put McNabb on top because I think he will be a free agent and he would have weapons here to work with. Notice after 3 I’m running out of ideas and I’m not including a current Titan.
1. McNabb
2. Orton
3. Kolb
4. Matt Hasselbeck
5. Derek Anderson
6. Matt Leinart
7. One of the San Francisco Smiths
I would take him
He is better than any other QB we could realistically get. plus he is 28 so we dont have to rush a guy into being a franchise QB. only downside with him is he is a laid back guy, he is not going to be a motivational, emotional leader that we need. but we could try and find a another guy like that.
which, come to think of it..
is the same problem we would have with McNabb
Trade Vince for 1 or 2 picks
Get Mcnabb, draft Defense first 2 rounds, O-line in 3rd and 4th. QB project in 5th.
Pickup Champ Bailey to replace Hope at Safety. Pickup veteran Center or Tackle.
Fisher could stay. Collins could stay (as backup).
10-6 season, make playoffs, go to AFC Championship, lose to Pats.
Fisher gets a 17 year extension.

I forgot about the neckbeard...I change my mind on Orton.

If Johnny Damon can switch over from the Red Sux
to the Yankees, so can Orton switch to us as well after his comments. As for the rookie QB @ 8th potentially, I like Mallet or Gabbert.

Orton is a loser.
And a whiny baby. We already had that problem this year with the other guy. Another one? No thanks.
Go Vols! Go Titans! Go My Fantasy Team!
I've been weighing this in my mind for a while
I’m no longer in favour. That price is ridiculous. Reading Bronco fan comments, they have illustrated that is ‘huge’ stats come from garbage time, and that it is his on field demeanor (read: no leadership qualities) that have caused them to embrace Tim Tebow.

would rather have mcnabb
or do an eli manning- phillip rivers type trade to trade up and get luck. dont really like any of the other qb prospects too much in this draft
