2011 Senior Bowl Box Score and Recap
It appears that Christian Ponder made himself some money today. Ponder was the MVP of today's Senior Bowl and finished the game 7 of 13 for 132 yards and 2 TDs (box score). While Ponder set himself apart, the rest of the quarterbacks didn't do much to impress according to Doug Farrar of Yahoo!. Jake Locker, who had the most to gain or lose this week, appears to have lost a little bit. It seems that Locker's biggest problem is accuracy which will be a major problem at the NFL level. His stock will probably improve a bit after the combine because he is sure to run a good 40 time (not that 40 time really matters for a QB).
Von Miller, who we have talked about quite a bit, had a good game had 2 tackles for loss and 4 total tackles. According to Dan over at Mocking the Draft also said that Miller looked good in coverage. I am not sold on him with the #8 pick, but if he proves that he can play OLB in a 4-3 the Titans should be all over him, of course that is assuming that the Titans will be running a 4-3 in 2011.
Things will be relatively quiet now on the draft front until the combine comes around.

Chris hope being as slow as a LB...
…doesn’t count as a 4-4.
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

Draft
Titans need to worry about finding a Franchise QB instead of Defense, round 1 pick needs to be a QB or bring Vince Young back. We are hurting at the QB position bad.
Doesn't mean picking QB in the first will fix it
Picking QB in 1st just to get a “1st rd QB” doesn’t fix shit.

I'd rather have Hasselbeck than VY right now
and I’d only pick someone if they are the best player available. If not, I’d try to trade down, which is looking like a very nice option right now for us.

Anyone else want to see us bring in a 3-4 DC
and morph into a speed 3-4 defense? Would take at least a season or two, probably two. But I think it would benefit us in the long run.

no
it’d take longer than that

Ok, how much longer?
If we draft and sign right, I think after two full seasons, we could be looking at a solid 3-4 defense. You saying 3? 4? Longer?
And if so, is it worth it or not?

could we get Ponder in the 2nd round?
Ya'll don't even know he was a virgin til he was 28, and now...Roll Tide.
do we want ponder in the 2nd round is the better question?
see the fanpost here. Since 2001, no 2nd round QB has become a starting QB.

but if qbs aren't worth first round picks
picking them in the first round won’t make them any better

talking franchise starters, not spot or single game starters
and to answer asbestos_man, you’re right, it won’t make them any better. any if we don’t see anyone worthy of a first round pick, i wouldn’t take them there. i’d trade the pick away or take the best available player, preferably a linebacker or DL.
