NFL Draft: 2011 Senior Bowl Day 1 Practice Report
DraftCountdown.com reported yesterday that the representatives from the Titans were seen talking to Ricky Stanzi, Jake Locker, and Colin Kaepernick yesterday. The Sporting News reported that Kaepernick had a really good day while Stanzi and Locker did not. Kaepernick has good size and arm strength and looked comfortable running the pro style offense. Optimum Scouting says the Titans appeared to already know Kaepernick, whatever that means, and said that the Titans and the Chiefs appear to be the most heavily represented at the Senior Bowl.
It is pretty obvious from these reports that the Titans are doing a lot of evaluation of quarterbacks this week. I like that they are really evaluating the guys that are in Mobile this week because, with the exception of Locker, these QBs don't really project to be first round guys. Maybe they will be able to find a steal in the later rounds and use the #8 pick on a defensive stud.
Wes Bunting of National Football Post had some good observations on some of the non-QBs. Bunting is very active during the day on Twitter, so if you are looking for up to the minute updates you should follow him @WesBunting.
NFL Mocks was also on the scene and had some thoughts on the North QBs.

Colin Kaepernick
Here’s a guy I’ve never heard of.
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

I watched a little yesterday.
Kaepernick shot off the screen a bit, not enough that I can pronounce his name, but Mayock spent a lot time talking about him, which is never a bad thing. The said he needs to work on his throwing motion because like Tebow’s it was very elongated, but accuracy wasn’t really an issue along with arms strength or torque. The man is also an athelete and looked really fast on a run that I thought he was a wideout. He blew by a lot of people, but it was in half pads so no one was going to contact, but it probably would have been first down run in a game situation.
Locker couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn and I don’t remember anything about Stanzi, except that Mayock liked his senior year improvement.
