Robert Johnson, the next Titans strong saftey?

via fandf.kall700sports.com

Robert Johnson is a perennially inactive on the Titans roster so i have taken the Liberty to do a little scouting report on the Titans Draft Pick.  I have read a lot about how he should be playing more at SS to replace an aging Chris Hope.  I will include a video will allow you guys deduce for yourselves why he does/does not start on this team and the video can provide you with some visual evidence of what he is capable of if you have not seen him play outside of pre-season.

The videos make him look great

I remember during the offseason he talked about how surprised he was at how difficult the transition to the NFL was, but I think he has a shot.

Also, Schoemmer (sp?) seems like he might have the leg up. Earlier this week The Tennessean was speculating that he should get the start over Hope this week.

Im Not Sure what they see in Nick

He doesn’t impress me on any of the tapes I have watched of him. He looks slow to react when in coverage but thats just me. Maybe I’m not seeing what they see in him.

I'd like to have seen him get a few series out there

But if he cant even crack the special teams group, how good is he?

good point

but Moss is a future HOF who wont cover punts. Cook, however, does.
