Adrian Peterson Doesn't Think Chris Johnson is Faster Than Him
Adrian Peterson went on the Dan Patrick show today and said that he thinks he is the best running back in the NFL When Patrick asked him if Chris Johnson does anything better than him he responded:
"No, [he's] not faster, stronger, anything," Peterson said. "You’ve got to understand you’re talking to a guy … that’s just the mentality that I have. I have ultimate respect for the guy and he’s a heck of a player. I remember at one point and time me talking on the phone to Chris Johnson. He was telling me, ‘I’m just a big fan of yours. I like your style.’ Some [of the] advice that I gave him was, ‘I play this game to be the best player ever to play the game. That’s my mentality.'"
And then he fumbled the phone....
But seriously, AP might be stronger than CJ but there is no way he is faster.

Brilliant just Brilliant
Makes me just that much more sad that I got stuck with the second pick in two fantasy drafts.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
I always go first half - coffee, second half - beer, because In LA, the games start at 10:00 a.m.
Speaking of dropping the phone
I got an automated call from Nate Washington yesterday telling me that Sunday is Code Blue.
GAME WEEK!
Official MCM Hater!
"If anyone asks you, you fixed my television. Now go!"
I don't honestly see how he can believe he is faster.
What a moron.
Ain't no time for hesitatin'
All you got to do is groove
I don't put much into this.
He’s a professional athlete and confidence is key to succeed. What’s he supposed to say?
Ya I was going to say the same thing.
However, I still believe he’s wrong. Hopefully CJ sees this and uses it as even more motivation on Sundays.
The only QB from the 2006 draft class still on his original team is Vince Young.

What's he supposed to say?
He’d look better owning it, and saying some thing like “Oh yeah, he’s faster. Have you seen that guy run?” Then maybe if the athlete in him still needs it’s ego stroked say, “But, I’m stronger.”
I'd rather hear him say that than what AP says he said:
I remember at one point and time me talking on the phone to Chris Johnson. He was telling me, ‘I’m just a big fan of yours. I like your style.’

Actually, I would.
CJ would look foolish saying he’s stronger than AD, just as AD looks foolish saying he’s faster than CJ.
And what is this AD crap?
I know what it stands for, but it is stupid. Let’s refuse as a site to refer to him as that.

It stands for All Day...
Some nickname for him from his college days…
"He is fast, but what I like about him is he looks like one of those track guys that actually knows how to run the ball and has good vision and patience. He is not just running at top speed. He knows when to use his speed, and he has some power and toughness, too.'' Barry Sanders about CJ2K

I agree, Jimmy. It's stupid.
And I didn’t mean to type that, I had just looked at his shirt in the picture, so I just typed what I seen. lol
As bonafide said, it stands for All Day.
From Wikipedia:
Adrian Peterson was a hyperactive toddler, ramping up his activity while others his age napped. His dad nicknamed him "All Day", which was later shortened to A.D.—his nickname today.
AP didn't sound like he believed it either....
If you listened to the interview, DP immediately called him out on it. That’s when AP turned around and said he had to have that mentality to be successful. It really came across to me that he was backtracking on the claim almost as soon as he said it.
Here it is...
AP 40 times at the NFL combine: 4.38 s/4.43 s/4.40 s.
CJ2K 40 times at the NFL combine: 4.24
nuff said…I dont hear no body talking about how AP can make any pursuit angle pretty much null and void….
JUST SHUT UP and HOLD ON TO THE FOOTBALL!
Please….I mean seriously…

That reminds me of the fact that AP was shown on the sidelines being forced to hold the ball the whole time.
The next play in, he fumbled it.

CJ vs AP
Yeah, AP is definitely stronger than CJ. I used to lift weights with them back in the day. And CJ is faster than AP. I used to race them both in high school.CJ only beat me by .000001 seconds in the 40.
If he's so strong, why can't he hold onto a little football?
CJ is faster, stronger, a better receiver, and far more well spoken.
I have seen you run
That is a little bit off..

Yeah, you’re right Jimmy……but I’ve got a pretty nasty bicycle kick! I know you’ve seen that!
