Haynesworth deal could mean at least one win we may not get without him
If we get fat Albert from the 'Skins, you would have to think that even if he is a letdown when he comes back, he will have to dominate the trenches in Week 11 when we play Washington.
That much bad blood between him and the 'Skins will fuel all the 340+pounds of beef that he has. All of us here know that when fat Albert is motivated he is like a charging gorilla. The Washington O-Line wouldn't stand a chance. That is reason right there why Washington may not want to do a deal with Tennessee.
Also, if the Titans had fat Al then the two games against Houston would also go much smoother. Do any of you remember how shaky Matt Schaub looked when he played against Fat AL? It seemed like he was always jittery when Haynesworth closed in on him (who wouln't). I can think of two instances where Fat Al took Schaub out of the game completely, and another few memories of Schaub throwing picks because he was looking at Haynesworth and not his receivers.
I would give up a 3rd and a 4th for Haynesworth. It will mean at least 1 or 2 more wins.

I know "all games matter"
but I doubt fear of an out-of-conference loss would be the reason the ’Skins would decide to keep Haynesworth
Agreed
I just meant the Skins would probably prefer to deal him to someone who they aren’t playing in 2010.
If there are no other teams offering as much compensation as Tennessee, then I am sure it wouldn’t be a big issue.
Is it strange that I wish we still had Ben Hartsock?
I really hope they do this
Our DLine is deep enough for him to play his 25 snaps a game. We’d get at least an extra INT a game from the pressure he’d provide.

Disagreed
He is good, but not +16 in INT’s good.
I would maybe say +3 or 4.

Disdisagreed.
Pass rush can force even the best QB’s to throw up a bad pass. Couple that with Finnegan and our INT-happy secondary, I think ‘one extra INT a game’ isn’t THAT farfetched.

Yes, yes it is
+SIXTEEN is one huge ass number to attribute to one DT

Maybe you should actually read my comment next time before you try to disagree it.

I did I still think you are way overestimating the number of INTs
that could be attributed to just Haynesworth’s presence on the field.
I'd rather beat the Redskins with Haynesworth going after McNabb.
than try to beat the Redskins with Haynesworth going after Vince Young.

I just imagined Al Haynesworth
as a charging gorilla sacking McNabb. Then staring Shanahan down. Beastly

How about
helping us sweep the colts….Peyton Manning is hard to get to…….I take him back for that alone.
Can you imagine on third and long having Jones/Brown/Morgan/Haynesworth coming at you?
I’ve seen Jones and Haynesworth kick outside on obvious passing downs before…..
If you can get him to play, thats the trick.
I’m getting tingly…….
I agree...
Even though his attitude and up and downs make everyone skeptical, you can’t deny his abilities. A 3rd round at MOST is good… and as everyone who is against this is saying that our Dline is deep already, you can never go wrong by adding more depth. Never.. especially Haynesoworth who the staff have already dealt with for years.
