The New York (New Jersey) Giants Players/Positions to Watch
After suffering a defeat at the hands of Dick LeBeau & co. The Titans look to bounce back and will travel to New Jersey to play the New York Giants. This will also be the first time Keith Bulluck will play against the Titans. There will be several key phases to this team that the Titans need to stop in order to win this game in New Medowlands Stadium.
The Giants voluntarily or not have become a pass first team and in order to stop a pass first team the Titans need to have Eli spend most of the day on the grass. The Titans have done a very good job thus far but this should be the ultimate test to see if our D-line is for real against one of the better O-lines in the past 5 years. If the D-line can limit Eli's time like Freeney and Mathis did last Sunday night then we should be in good shape moving forward as Eli tends to make mistakes when being pressured consistently to an extent.
The second year standout WR currently leads the league in TD receptions and was a beast in week 1. The Titans still have to take him out of the game because he can outright torch secondarys and with his size and strength makes him an extremely hard to cover. But if we can get to the QB like I stated above it should be easier to cover him.
Ahmad Bradshaw & Brandon Jacobs
As of right now Bradshaw is the biggest threat since Jacobs thinks he's a finesse back for some reason...anyway Bradshaw is probably one of the most underrated RBs in the game right now. His ability to catch out the backfield combined with his speed provides a CJ-ish type threat. He has good vision and behind a offensive line of pro bowlers is a threat to score from anywhere. The big task here is for the D-line to block the running lanes and keep everything in front of them thus allowing our linebackers to pursue and wrap him up. If we do this early and often we will force Eli to have to throw and thats when we can start getting them to commit turnovers.
Big Blue's D-line
This is the heart of their defence and our O-line will have to step up to the challenge. With names like Uminyora, Tuck, Kiwanuka, and Pierre-Paul these DE's are a force to be reckoned with. Michael Roos and David Stewart will have their hands full against these pass rushing menaces. But their no slouch against the run either so our O-line has to have a great day in order to make our offence work. The best way to neutralize them is to pass early and often with VY. Causing them to over-pursue the QB then we run draws and screens to catch them off guard. this will frustrate them and the Giants as a whole will not play well when they are knocked off their game as clearly demonstrated by the Colts game last Sunday.
Here are my keys for the Titans to steal a win this week:
- Ball Security
- Pass to set up the run
- Stuff up the running lanes
- Get to the QB
- LET VY DO WHAT HE DOES BEST. win

Another key to a victory Sunday is....
for us to mix it up offensively…wildcat, option, reverse….and I would love to see them run the PISTOL (even though I don’t fully understand it yet)
